Yeah, I do too. I normally say "If you think that, why are you watching this, much less commmenting on it?"

I got a hundred percent on a song today on GH:On Tour, but it was my first time paying, so, it's not like I spend my life working on that. Besides, it was in easy.

I spend a lot of time playing the game, for sure. And I have put many hours into single songs just trying to FC them on Expert. But there is always a point when I just walk away. I love the game, and all the things you can do with it, but in no way do I consider it
"my life."

But, I probably am going to buy Aerosmith tomorrow, just for more songs.
EDIT: Eh, nevermind. I thought all along the price was going to be around $40, a la Rock the 80's. But now that I see that it is $60, it's probably going to be a no-go.

Anybody going to buy Aerosmith? I am in the future for my PS2. It even has Cat Scratch Fever in it, man! Either he appears in this game as a character or we duel him in World Tour and there's Stranglehold.

It looks neat, but as I said earlier, they really have to do something with the character animations. Everybody looks like they're either robotic or have no soul in what they're doing. Then again, I've only seen videos of what appears to be the PS2 or Wii version.

On the Rock Band side of the river...
Yesterday I filmed a video of me playing expert drums and singing expert vocals to Dreamin' by Weezer. But I'm a little sick, so my singing wasn't as great as it could be. As soon as I get better, I am going to re-record, and then post it on YouTube, and then on here.

You know what song I'd love to see them do? I think I've said this before, but...

Brian Wilson by Barenaked Ladies

Do what they did for TTFAF: make the keyboard part at the end a lead guitar. Incredible ending.

That video's a little cropped though. If you want the whole song, LimeWire it or something. Brian Wilson of the "All Their Greatest Hits" album. The ending is longer and even better.

Either way, BNL needs to get in on the action. If they were just doing it for the vocals, One Week would be amazing.

That'd be a great song, looking at it.

Am I the only one who has bought Aerosmith?

It's... good. Songs are decent.. almost everything about every song is easy, except for the solos, which are often somewhat insane. A little laggy at times, too..

And I've played through every song and there isn't one i didn't get at least 4* for the sightread.

EDIT: Huh, apparently this is the 1000th post.

My mom bought Aerosmith for me while we were in Best Buy today. She was all like, "Hey, this is new, and you like these games, don't you?" I said that I did, and she said she would buy it for me because I had a good report card.

Haven't played it yet, though.

Train Kept A Rollin' is the last encore and Kings and Queens is like the TTFAF of it.

My brother bought Guitar Hero : Aerosmith, and I have to say, while the somngs are good, the animation stinks. It's like they stopped caring. The people all move like robots, and Steve Tyler's face makes no emotion at all.

As for Rock Band, I can do expert drums decently with a bit of practice for most of the songs. The fact that I play drums in real life helps.

I was cruisin' down the road the other day and that song popped up on shuffle on my Zune. As I was listening to it, I pictured myself doing the vocals on Rockband. I then played it again and listened to all the different instruments, and I was like, d00d! Add in the fact that it has a huge rock out thing at the end, this is without a doubt the perfect song for Rockband.

We should write a letter.

This game taught me that Joe Perry never smiles.

Also, if you play King Of Rock with DMC as your guitarist, the main DMC will sing his part and the other will sing Run's part. Awesome.

Isn't it illegal to do that?

And yes, the animations suck. What type of motion-capture technology are they using for these people? They better have animations at least on-par with Rock Band in Guitar Hero: World Tour; I cannot see myself potentially drumming to a drummer that doesn't react to his instrument.

So Rock Band 2 was announced today, with the main highlight being that it features AC/DC.

And that it will be Xbox 360-exclusive for a couple months (the 360 version launches in September).

Well...yes. But they're not putting the technology to good use.

oh wait

I read that as "what kind of people".

FUDGE

They must be using their good technology for World Tour and decided to borrow some crappy prototype they had in a box somewhere for this game.

That promo video for World Tour that someone posted earlier seemed to be using some pretty good motion technology.

Also you can't get much worse than the GH3 drummer...

GH2 + GH drummer/80's. Didn't sync up at all, just went "FAST" or "NORMAL" or "SLOW".

I'm not actually playing the game at this moment, but from the videos I'm watching, the drummer seems to decently sync up (of course, most of the videos I'm watching have camera angles that only make the drummer visible for a couple seconds). Either way, it still looks a lot better than Guitar Hero 3's drummer.
