See WALL-E in DLP projection, if possible. It makes a great movie EVEN BETTER.

But really there's live-action in Wall-E which may sound off-putting but it blends so well with the animation it's not even amazing, it's better

I've been completely put off by animation since Finding Nemo. To me nothing has even come close to how amazingly good that movie is. I have no idea how good Wall-E is because all I know is what you guys tell me.

Wall-E has gotten like universal praise. The first half is nearly silent and may drag on a little bit but by that point you're where the real good stuff starts when he gets in space. That's when you get dialogue (I don't care what Firefox says that's how to spell it) and when it gets RL RL GREAT

Ah. But haven't you heard good things across the board about WALL-E? I guess you've learned not to trust the hype, or something...

But yeah, I think you should go see WALL-E. It's pretty awesome. It's on par with Nemo, might be better. At the very least, the first 30 minutes are without a doubt better. After that, I guess it depends on your perspective.

Haha, my opinion on what the best part is happens to be totally the opposite of Noid's

Saw Hancock today.
I liked it.
It's a definite "buy" when it hits DVD.

The first 10-20 minutes, I swear, I think they told Will "Just think 'Billy Bob Thornton playing Superman'."

It was a great movie. I highly suggest you go see it, unless you're one of those uptight, "that can't happen" types, in which case I suggest never watching ANYTHING EVER AGAIN!.

Yeah, I noticed that. Wonder if Nintendo is going to do something about that.

Oh, come on. Honestly.

Aside from the "eyes" they don't look anything alike.

Yeah, and ROB's arms barely look like WALL-E's.

I saw Hancock and the latest Indiana Jones movie last weekend. The ending to the former broke my heart, but both were awesome.

I just watched that movie I'm Not There. You know, the one with multiple people playing Bob Dylan? It was pretty cool, even though I didn't really "get" it. Cate Blanchett kicked some serious butt in it. She's an awesome actress.

One of my friends had just seen Wall-E last night. So we all ended up going to see Hancock. I'll see Wall-E eventually.

Anyway, Hancock. Great movie. Much better than I expected. I recommend going to see it. Good in a lot of different ways.

In the last week i've seen Wall-E twice, The Incredible Hulk, and Kung Fu Panda. All great movies, go see all of them. With sound. Broken speakers hinder the enjoyment experience.

Wall-E - beautifully done and perfect with its non and minimal speaking roles. Love it.
Hulk - a great atonement for the last Hulk. It pretends it doesn't even exists. No hulkdogs.
Kung Fu Panda - not overly Jack Black. It's amusing, and just as long as it needs to be. Lawl at the hidden adoption.

That's because this is a new series. So in that movie canon (oh god what have I become), that one doesn't exist.

I saw Hancock as well whilst in Kelowna. It was pretty good... not as genius as I thought it'd be though... There is a twist in the film that kinda turns everything around into something completely different. So in turn the story wasn't exactly what I thought it'd be. I guess that's good film making, but I kinda just wanted the film to play out like the trailers suggested. And I was kinda hoping there would be a villain for Hancock to face, in that sense the film would've been more of the superhero spoof I wished it would've been.

And I think Hancock cleaned up his act too quickly... His slovenly attitude should've been the central concern in the story, in my opinion. But I guess the twist kept things interesting...

I don't know, I guess it was pretty good. Maybe it was the style of filming that put me off too. All the shifty close-ups on the actors' faces, guess it just didn't come out as the movie I had imagined. But it did have a cool concept, a couple parts made me laugh, and I did enjoy myself.

ALSO: What's this I hear about live action in Wall-E???

They're videos that the characters watch. It blends really well though.

Oh, whew. I thought for a second that the human characters in Wall-E were being played by real-life actors. But then I was all "WTF???" because I saw animated human characters in the trailers.

That's kinda cool though, and yeah, I heard it doesn't really take away from the animation.

Bleh, WHY HAVEN'T I SEEN THIS MOVIE YET??!!??!!?

EDIT: 600 posts!

Heh, the live action blends so well that a few of my friends missed it entirely ;)

It's great how they used it, though. It really paints a contrast for when you actually do run into the peoples.

Just got back from Hellboy. See it. See it right now. This movie delivers on all fronts. It has the action. It has the comedy. It definately has the looks. This is a fantastic movie, and you NEED to see it.
