Saw Wall-e. So incredibly cute and the social commentary was mind-blowing for a children's film.

I haven't seen WALL-E yet, I'm going to on Sunday. However, I'd just like to note that Myrrh has also seen it now. When asked by me if it was the best Pixar movie so far, she responded, "Best animated movie so far, more like."

Needless to say, I'm quite excited to see it.

I saw Ed Wood last night. Johnny Depp was awesome in that movie. It was surprisingly good, considering it was about pretty much the worst director of all time. I was expecting him to say "I never thought I'd see the day he didn't get out of the coffin" when Bela Lugosi was buried.
I never knew how much he destroyed the lives of the people around him.

Last night on SeriousTV I watched Pee Wee's Big Adventure with other people on IRC. What an awesome movie.

But you know what's even more awesome? WALL-E. I saw it today and...

Just see it. Go. I could talk forever about how great it is. I mean, the graphics are superlatively gorgeous, best CG graphics I've ever seen including stuff from big-budget blockbusters, but compared to the story and characters and excitement and crap it's not even worth mentioning. That's how good it is. As a bonus, the short they show before it is a hoot.

I saw Get Smart last Thursday with some friends. Like you guys have been saying, it's alright. Not great. To me it just seemed way too formulaic and by-the-books. Just a typical action/comedy movie, you know? Nothing really new, just the same old tired slapstick jokes, sexual innuendos, etc. And it totally bit joke concepts from The Naked Gun! I saw what they did thurr...

I was really surprised at how large a crowd the film drew though. A part of me had a feeling that more than half the audience didn't even realize the film was drawn from a television show by Mel Brooks in the 60's...

So, okay. Me and a bunch of college friends got together to go see Wall-e, because we've been crazy excited for it ever since we heard about it. We get to the theater, fight for some seats together, and sit down to watch. Once the previews start to roll, we notice that something has gone horribly wrong. What's that you ask? Why, the front and enter speaker was broken, that's what! Any time anyone spoke, there was nothing! Mind you, this made all the awful children's trailers significantly easier to stomach (fly me too the moon, shoot me now) but it made watching the movie difficult times. The movie folks came down a few times to tell us that something was busted and they were busting themselves trying to fix it.

Which, of course, they never did, not all the way.

Needles to say, it sort of worked, but not really. All the major dialog (the captain's, those two redsuits, auto) was gone, but the movie was so well done that we figured out most of the plot anyway. It's good, I'm definitely going to have to see it again to catch everything.

Anyhow, after the movie was done the movie folks all gave us free tickets for another movie, so we planned to just go back this morning and try again. We got to the theater to find that they'd sold out of the one we wanted to see, and the next one was three hours later, because they'd shut off the broken screen. So, we decided to watch The Incredible Hulk instead, which none of us had seen yet either. I laughed at Banner's portugese, making fun of the purple pants, and the God-tier that is free pizza. Good movie, would recommend. Also Wall-e that rocked. And that little short that came before Wall-e, I liked that one too. And getting free tickets = yes.

Wall-E was epic.
That's all I have to say about that. Oh, and Presto and Elec Azam was awesome. It was like a Bugs Bunny cartoon, only they were friends at the end.

I saw Wall-E today, and it was amazing.

I'm not ready to say that it's Toy Story good yet, but it's close.

Saw Wanted the other night. It was ridiculous. Really good, but just ridiculous.

Hoping to see Wall-E and Hancock soon.

Saw No Country for Old Men. Good movie.

First, I saw Wall-E yesterday. It was fantastic. I was surprised at how well the live-action blended with the animation. One thing that was weird about this one was the lack of the standard Pixar preview - did anybody else have this?

Then I saw The Beast With a Billion Backs. It was good. Not as good as Bender's Big Score, though. This one just didn't have the same epic (for lack of a better word) feeling to it. I was expecting Yivo to have even more ulterior motives but I guess not.

I watched Ghostbusters a week or two ago. I'm gonna watch the sequel probably tomorrow.

Eventually, I'll work my way to Blazing Saddles and that pirated Dr. Strangelove copy my dad has.

Ugh, don't. It wasn't that good; they obviously didn't want to make another Ghostbusters movie.

I saw The Simpsons Movie again last night. I found Easter Eggs in the special features, too!

Don't base your ideas of what movies may be like with South Park. ;)
