I saw "Step Up" a few days ago. It sucked, but I was expecting that. I didn't want to see it, my mom made me. (Long story) Pretty much, you know how it's gonna turn out, and what the ending's gonna be about 7 minutes into the movie.

Please, to all that have seen it, please tell me if it's as great as every one says it is.

Me too. It may be rated R, but Dad just said he'll take me to see it. I'm so excited.

I hope they end up selling shirts of it or something. The one most famous line, which I can't say here due to extreme profanity- I really, really, really want a shirt with that on it.

On Mu's LJ, she said it was the worst movie she'd ever seen.

...

And she loves every minute of it.

She also says that a dog gets killed by a snake, which is the reason I won't be seeing it. :P

The Shining

THEY. ALL. OWNED.

A full night of Kubrick. That's why they were god, they were directed by Stanley Kubrick.

Saw it. Loved it.

If you're a Rocky Horror Picture Show, Pulp Fiction, Army of Darkness type movie person, you'll LOVE this film.

If not, you'll at least find it corky and fun.

I give it an A, certainly a good addition to my cult movie collection.

i think you would appreciate the fact that the guy who throws the dog to the snakes gets brutally killed less than a minute later. karma.

yes, i just got back from seeing snakes on a plane. i adored it. if there's anyone in the entire world who feels like there's no way they want to see it, i will drag them to the cinema and make them. and they will be converted.

Snakes on a Plane just might be the greatest movie ever made. It was that awesome. I'm not even kidding.

Last movie I saw in theaters was Barnyard, which was a waste of time. I did see Inside Man a coupla days ago, and if you can stand the F bomb being dropped tons of times (the movie is R if you hadn't guessed) then I HIGHLY recommend it. Definitely one of the best heist movies I've ever seen.

Hmm, on a side note, 600th post! Hurrah!

I might see "Snakes On A Plane" today. My dad's debating of whether to take me or not, since it's rated R and I'm 15. (Big age difference, I know.)

It's truely one of the most under-rated and under-seen films of all time.

Speaking of great films that nobody's ever seen, I watched Wag the Dog last night. I love that movie.

Barry Levinson makes some FUNE movies. I can't wait to see Man of the Year. It looks like it's gonna be another Wag the Dog, a really smart comedy that you don't laugh at until a day or so later when you think about what actually happened.

My dad insisted I watch Dead Man which he claimed was one of the wierdest westerns ever made. It's a bizzare little art house film made by Jim Jarmusch (Ghost Dog, Coffee and Cigarettes) starring Johnny Depp and Lance Hendrickson among others. A little too arty and slow going for me.

Saw Dead Man's Chest several weeks ago...and if movies you didn't see in theatre count, Napoleon Dynamite.

I saw Clerks for the first time on TV a couple of weeks ago. Awesome movie. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it included the bad, cliche thing of "He did something bad but really didn't he only got blamed for it" when Randall sells the kid cigarettes and Dante gets blamed for it.

Oh man, I haven't seen UHF in years... what a classic movie.

"f nobody comes down here and buys a car in the next hour, I'm gonna club this baby seal. That's right. I'm gonna club this seal to make a better deal. You know I'll do it, to, cause I'm crazy."

George Newman: Hey, kids. Where y'wanna go?
[dead silence]
George Newman: That's right. To Uncle Nutzy's Clubhouse. And boy-oh-boy, are we gonna have big fun today. We're gonna have so much fun, we'll forget about how miserable we are, and how much life sucks, and how we're all gonna grow old and die someday.
Little Weasle: I wanna go home.
George Newman: Shut up, you little weasel!
[beat]
George Newman: Okay. Right now I'd like to show you one of my favorite cartoons. It's a sad, depressing story about a pathetic coyote who spends every waking moment of his life in the futile pursuit of a saidistic roadrunner who *mocks* him and *laughs* at him as he's repeatedly *crushed* and *maimed*! Hope you'll *enjoy* it!

Bwahahaha.

I watched Recess: School's Out with my little brothers on Friday. Also a funny movie. "Randall, get the butter."

I just got back from seeing Snakes On A Plane, (yes, I saw it later than I said I would,) and, well, it's hard to put into words how great it was. The action, the humor, just everything put into it, was amazing.

Snakes on a Plane. You know it's good, because I could predict the ending.

Same here, I just saw "Snakes On A Plane" yesterday. Twasn't too bad actually. It basically delivers what it promises. If you love watching innocent people attacked by snakes from around the world on a two-level plane, then this movie is for you. I personally went to see Samuel L. Jackson say his famous lines.

After that, me and some friends rented "The Hills Have Eyes". So that was the last movie I saw. Snakes On A Plane was the last in-theatre movie I saw.

I thought predictable endings were one of the many things that make a movie bad.
That's why I hate most sports movies. It always comes down to the big game, and the big play at the end of said game. Just once, I'd love to see the last game be a complete blow-out, with the good guys winning or losing by some incredible amount by halftime.

i hate good guy victory endings.
the bad guys always have the cooler guns or cooler costume or awesome underground bunker etc.
why cant the bad guys ever win?

I finally watched "Walk the Line" a couple of weeks ago. I am in love with both Johnny Cash and June Carter. I'd marry either of them, really.

That would be kind of hard considering they are both dead.
