I saw Hot Fuzz with my friends on Friday. It was pretty funny. Almost as good as Shaun of the Dead.

Very true. The swears might set some people away, but other than that, it's great.

Two nights ago I saw The Last Mimzy, which was good although it shared a disturbing number of elements with H.P. Lovecraft fiction for a kids' movie.

Last night, I saw The Painted Veil, which is technically a good movie, although it's sad, so I'd only recommend it to emotional masochists.

Remember back when Kariia and about two other people were talking about The Labyrinth so much? I just rented and saw it. I mean, I was a Bowie fan before I saw that, but, wow....

Best thing ever? Yes.

Second best thing ever? Also yes.

Um I dunno this movie but I saw the "after the beggining" There was a coach :coachz: and was so strict, then asked the school bully and a 6 feet boy to join their team then sometime later, he learned something from the team, then became not-so strict then they won their 1st game they didnt have a win in 12 years! And won the play-offs, won the championships and now the coach has like a giant mansion! Oh did I mention that the school bully (which was a girl) became the 6 foot boy's girlfriend?

Spiderman 3. It was pretty good. Having never seen Spiderman 2, I was a little bit in the dark about what's his face and Harry's relationship, but I think I understood by the end. It was a good picture of the destructiveness of revenge though. And the graphics were good.

Went and saw "28 Weeks Later" with a coworker and my younger brother yesterday. Was pretty decent...I still like the first one a little bit more...but it was still a good movie.

Saw Hot Fuzz. Funny as heck! XD I friggin love those directors. The production value could have been a little better, but hey! It made me laugh... and I guess that's what counts.

Not for people who are faint of heart though, lots of gore and the like. >x>

Went to see Hot Fuzz, but my friends and I got kicked out.

So instead we had to settle for Delta Farce.

It was okay, but after we had seen the beginning of Hot Fuzz, we couldn't really laugh at another movie.

Hot Fuzz is rated R, and we're just under 17. One of our parents bought us the tickets, but there was an usher waiting outside the door like a hawk. Once the parent left the theater (had company over), the dude sprang into action, and kicked us out. I think some older guy in the theater might have ratted us out, too.

Of course, the movie didn't seem bad at all. The worst thing was the stabbing at the beginning. There was very little swearing.

And wouldn't you know, the very first thing we heard when we went into Delta Farce was "HOLY -CENSOR'D-!"

OH OUR VIRGIN EARS!!!!!

EDIT: Watch the Rule 6, there, buster.

i'm still waiting to see:
hot fuzz
28 weeks later
pan's labyrinth
and some others.

i did just see "Who the $#)*@ Is Jackson Pollock?" and it was a pretty awesome movie. it's a documentary (i live off of documentaries) and its about a trucker lady who gets a painting at a thrift store and ends up convinced it's a pollock. it's pretty awesome. she has a foul mouth, though. which is funny out of a 70something lady. good stuff.

I don't even WANT to see Spiderman 3...because I'm cool like that. Yeah, the first two movies didn't do too much for me. They were decent movies, but honestly, the only reason why they (and 3) have done so well at the box office is because the producers sunk SO MUCH MONEY (probably even more money than what actually cost to make the film itself) in advertising.

I saw "Shooter" the other day. I think I liked it, but...

...it was dubbed in a language that isn't my first, so I need to pay more attention to the movie. And honestly, I don't know how much I would have gotten out of it even in English because (1) I got sleepy, (2) I couldn't stop thinking about someone and about music they shared with me!

But it was good, what registered in my brain ;)

LOL @ Borat

To anyone who's seen it, would you recommend renting Monty Python's Life of Brian? I'm thinking of getting it the next time my family goes into town, but I know it's rated R, and I was just wondering how it garnered that rating.

Though it's a funny movie, it's not really for the family. I'm guessing that the brief clips of nudity that are in it brought the rating about. Other than that, though, it's fine. Maybe an age of 14+ would be a good viewing range.

Brief Clips? Two instnaces of male rear nudity, one instance of male frontal nudity, one instance of female frontal nudity though most is blocked by hair (I mean long head hair for u people who have sick minds).

Anyway, most recent movie i saw in theaters was 300. THAT WAS SO AMAZING. OMG OMG OMG OMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG!!!!!!!! lol. Really. anyboyd who hasn't seen it and is allowed to see it must see it. right now.

I thought Spiderman 3 was okay. Emo Spidey is hilarious, and I'm not sure the film makers intended it to be that way.

IMHO that part of the movie was extremely corney. And MJ and Peter's relationship is really messed up, and MJ is really spoiled.

I think it was meant to be that way, because Peter Parker is a HUGE geek. And that's what a stereotypical geek would think is "cool".

I just saw it today, and they had to know how stupid he was when they made it.

On a slightly related note, there are a bunch of old people in the theater at 10:30 on Monday morning.
