Speaking of which, Anyone else find Pit's DownB completely useless since his forwardB also reflects projectiles anyways?

Does anybody know the name of the song that plays on The Path to the Ruins stage in the Subspace Emissary? I've been looking around for it, but I haven't turned up anything.

Umm... getting the missles is a good thing... it fills your gauge which gives you BLAST AWAY which often nets me 2-3 new trophies. Also, with less then 2000 coins you can get 99 trophies...

The spin is harder to cancel, it seems, so you're more vunerable.

I've never used his down-b, though.

K, so the game is only a week old and already the tourney players are trying to change the game.

Basically they want High Gravity mode to be the standard because "Brawl is too floaty" and "It'd bring back edge guarding" etc etc.

Quote:
Sounds awesome. It's good to know that there are potential options to undo any dumbing-down that Sakurai may or may have not done to Brawl. It'd be sweet if he actually included options intended for serious play. That'd give them a good chance of not imbalancing anything by switching the settings.

As for people pulling the generic "not Melee 2.0" and "these aren't default settings" cards:

Tournaments are going to use the most competitive settings, no matter what the default settings are. Any competitive organization of any seriousness is not going to purposely use dumbed-down setting for shallow reasons. Technical ones, yes, but not pointless ones. If there's any resemblence between Melee and Brawl competitive play, it's because those settings are competitive, not because people are trying to copy Melee.

Ugh. Just learn how to play the game instead of trying to make it like what you're used to.

I like the new physics of Brawl; people are just stubborn.

Well, if you ever get through playing it until the end, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about there. Anyone else who finished SSE should know what I mean.

I don't think there's any need for spoiler tags on this one since we've known about his existence on the Brawl website for quite some time.

I think Sonic was included into the SSE last-second since they didn't plan to have him in the game until the last months of development. They probably didn't want to redo most of the FMVs that they placed into the game, so they just threw him in at the end.

Hey guys you know what's the stupidest crap ever?

You can only send stuff to people who are on your brawl friends list AND your Wii friends list.

wat

Really? I had a Wii friend send me a replay and I'm pretty sure he wasn't on my Brawl list at the time.

Sonic was reportedly a very late addition to the game, like, from early 2007. That's what I heard anyway. His appearance in Subspace Emisarry was pretty lame though and I personally would have preferred him not being in it altogether, but I suppose if that happened some people would complain.

Also high gravity mode can be pretty fun but anyone who tries to make the standard is a moron.

Hmm...what is with all of the instances of circular shadows in this game? I don't think that they'd really be taxing on the engine, and Melee handled actual shadows just fine. Odd...

It seems circular shadows are only in Subspace Emisarry... probably due to all the enemies that can be onscreen at once. Normal brawls have regular shadows.

And, for whatever reason, the Master Hand battle.

It just seems kinda odd when you see them facing multiple opponents at once in every mode except the SSE. Ah well.

Dur.

I was refering to how missle make you lose coins, which isn't a punishment at all since you have infinite coins

K I just made a pretty faithful remake of Saffron city and sent it to disk and Grapefruit.

I hate how you can't chose spawn points. The game always seems to chose the highest point on the level, even if it's outside of your map. Stupid.

Download this, put in in the stages directory of your Wii SD card, and tell me if it works.

Could you send those to me? I was gonna make them later this week, but that'll save me the trouble.

Wii code = 3003 7040 8183 1330.

Edit: And I don't have the internet channel, so I can't download them, unfortunately.

I swear that somebody could make a new Weegee image with that Bulborb. Its face is just so...Weegee-like.

(that Smash Bros image decrypter site makes the images have a lot of aliasing)

Sup guys, I need your help. I was playing brawl, when my Wii started to make a noise. It sounds like something keeps rubbing against the fan. It only makes the noise when there's a game in it though. Help?
