I haven't played any of you, so I probably won't make the cut. Maybe. P.S. We're talking about the cross-forum tournament, right? |

Yeah. Everyone will be able to be in the solo-forum tournament, I believe. |

Hey, I need some help. I'm playing Super Smash Bros. Melee (Yeah, MELEE. Not Brawl), and I need help with things. I thought there'd be no point in making a separate thread for a small question, so I posted it here... I need help in getting three bonuses: Giga Bowser KO No-Damage Clear Celebi Catcher I think they're the only three I need to get in order toget the Diskun trophy. Any help will be fine. |

Since there are such a limited number of spots, I think we should try to get people that "represent" the forum - people who've been here for a while and come a lot. Thus, I think we've got these people to choose from Ace Beaums Color Printer Cleverdan Disk Iki JTH Ju Ju Rusty Greg I'm not sure how we can narrow it down from there, it seems like a few too many people to do any sort of easy narrowing down. Great success. |

Jigs, Jigs, Jigs. Rest, Rest, Rest. 2. Just be someone spammy like marth and go very easy. 3. Pokeballs very high and just keep trying. |

Giga Bowser KO -- Simply battle Giga Bowser in Adventure Mode and win. To do so, you have to get to the end of Adventure Mode on Hard (or higher) difficulty in less than 13 minutes or so. No-Damage Clear -- Beat an entire single player mode without taking damage throughout the entire frickin' thing. This one is pretty much the most annoying one to obtain. I'd recommend Very Easy Classic as its the shortest and easiest, and just pick someone who is fast and can fight without taking much damage, I'd recommend someone like Marth or Samus with their long range weapons. Celebi Catcher -- Have every character and stage? If so, there should be a 1 in 251 chance of this guy coming out of a Pokeball, so just play some rounds with them on Very High and you should find one eventually. Edit: I wouldn't recommend taking on Adventure Mode on Hard with Jigglypuff unless you're really good with the thing. And no, the event match doesn't count.

I've never played nor heard anything amazing about your skills, so I've got nothing to work off of. Anyways, this leave us with eight people to take three spots (since DG doesn't seem to want to be in it) Ace Beaums Cleverdan Disk Iki Ju Ju Rusty Greg How we gon' do this? |

Has anyone suggest that we have tournaments within our own forum and the finalist get entered in the cross-forum tourney? Because I agree with that guy |

Well, I just got done playing Josh. And don't get me wrong, I knew I wasn't good, but I didn't realize I was that miserable and pathetic. I mean, I felt like there was no one on the forum I could beat, and Josh just showed me how far behind I am, skill-wise. I mean, it's like wow. So thanks for opening my eyes! |

Well at least its good to see you're taking it well. I was feeling a bit bad for pummeling you so hard... even if the imput lag was kind of iffy. My advice would be to keep on practicing against human opponents, preferably those about equal to your skill level. It's the only way to improve! |

@Joshua: Actually, for Giga Bowser I believe it's Normal or higher, 18 minutes or less. I don't know enough about it but it seems a large portion of his moveset is just some form of spinning. |

(Still talking about Melee, not Brawl) I'm finding it really impossible to get the No-Damage Clear... I've been trying it on Classic Mode on Very Easy with Roy, but I can never get passed the metal character without them poking me slightly for 3% damage. And then, if I manage, how will I kill Master Hand without taking damage? The reason I'm using Roy is because he's the only character I've tried that can get me past the battle against the "Team <character>", by spamming up+B. |

| Post subject: | Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion |
Just keep spamming his forward smash, neutral B and forward air. I'm no Roy expert, but those are powerful ranged attacks for Marth, and hopefully they should work towards racking up damage and sending your opponent flying. Just watch your spacing and try to keep your opponent from getting within range. Since Marth's strength is on the tip of his blade, it'd be easier and more effeciant to do this with him, but I see now reason why Roy can't work as well. As for Master Hand, I'd recommend playing some Event Match #50 to memorize all of his attack patterns. Learn his cues and how to dodge his attacks, make excessive use of your sheild and spot dodge (pressing down while shielding), and only expose yourself to attack him when he's floating around in his neutral position. Don't use any attacks such as your Up+B that leave you wide open on him. |

Bugkiss wrote: I don't know enough about it but it seems a large portion of his moveset is just some form of spinning. And that is why he's so subtle. If I start a spin, you have to make a quick judgement: am I doing a homing attack, a more powerful charge, or a quick dash attack? I love Sonic's mind games. |

Wat We're having both tournaments anyways, all this would do is change the order of which we have them |

Ju Ju Master wrote: Except the fanstuff people are waiting for us. So we've gotta hurry up. Yes, please do. I'll need a finalized roster of eight by Friday so I can pair everyone up Saturday morning. Preferably people who actually know this thread exists and will be active here. Also Susan, I've added you to my MSN Messenger. Mine is joshua368@gmail.com. An IM problem will make arranging battles much easier than on a forum. I should be able to battle during most of the afternoon and night. |
