Fawful IS in Brawl.

Seriously, keep hitting random on the place where you enter in a name and you'll get "FWFUL". SWEET!

I think I've found a good way to do this. From the list of eight people I posted before, I found the five that posted in either Brawl thread most recently

Ace
Ju Ju
Rusty
Disk
Greg

Susan, ExJon, Kerrek and these five people will play in the fanstuff tournament. Any objections?

Played about an hour straight with... "Susan". The lag varied and often was kinda iffy, but still had some great fun battles. Regardless of who won the majority of them, they were definitely intense and often pretty close.

Pikachu's electric attack is very annoying though. ;) If I meet you in the tournament, I'll have to remember to play as Pit so I'll have a strong fast reflector on hand.

If Josh can beat Susan too then I must play him to see who is the real ultimate master.

Not that I dominate Susan or anything. I think we've fought all of twice.

Hmm, I'd love to participate, but it's tech week, and I can't do anything till Sunday. If we can delay it that long, it's fine, if not CP can take my spot.

Remember that I won't be using any other characters if we meet in the tourney. Cause I suck with all of them. Also, lol at many of our suicides. And the ending of our first match were I won by a hair after being two stocks down. Playing a good Dedede really through me off and you have made me hate Olimar all over again.

"Won by a hair" is right, since we both flew upwards at the same time and I just happened to die off the front of the camera, which is faster than dying off into the background like you were. :cheat: But yeah, I need some practice with my Dededeicide. Since I was so far ahead that round, I figured I'd joke around. My mistake.

Also I'm glad to see you enjoyed my Olimar, because that'll probably be the guy I use the most in the tourney.

And that round you won without either of us suiciding... that King Dedede vs. Pikachu round on Delfino Plaza. That was one vicious round, King Dedede has a really hard time working around all those electric shocks.

Guys, I just went online as Game and Watch and spent half the match spamming taunts. And won by 4 points. I love this game.

Can anyone tell me how to get snapshots/replays/stages off of an SD card?

Once they are on the SD card just plug it into the computer (through SD to USB port, MP3 Player connection, Camera Connection, printer, whatever you have or can get) and open it up like any other file. The wii data will be under a folder called PRIVATE (or something to that extent).

And don't bother taking Replays off. They cant work anywhere but the wii.

You'll have to use a separate tool like a digital camera for those.

Replays aren't actually videos of the matches, they're pieces of code that basically imitate everything that occurred during the match. Replays have done things like that for awhile, actually.

I'd suggest getting a capture card of some sort if you want to rip videos of matches.

(For anyone still following my posts, I'm still talking about Melee in this Brawl thread)

I managed to kill Giga Bowser (as Jigglypuff, yay), but I'm finding the No-Damage clear bonus absolutely impossible. Has anyone here actually managed it? If so, what were your methods?

Also, are there bonus points awarded in Brawl? Are there any really impossible ones to look forward to for when it actually comes out here?

If you saw anything I said about Brawl when it came out at all, you'd know there are no Bonus Points and I am still angry about that.

Post subject:  Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion

Wait, seriously? The bonus points add a fun twist to the fighting, and I see no reason why they'd just arbitrarily remove a feature like that. I've also heard that the Target Test has been downgraded too. Which is also stupid.

Yeah, both of those are dissapointing.

And to top that off, Race to the Finish got the cut, and they still haven't brought back Board the friggin' Platforms.

Post subject:  Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion

God I wanted Board a tha Platforms back so bad

Author:  Joshua [ Thu Apr 03, 2008 1:41 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion

In place of bonuses, you now have all sorts of crazy statistics after your battle. Like, way more than before. Total number of smash attacks, aerials, hits, etc.

I mean, it doesn't make up for the lack of bonuses, but at least its something.

And we still got a massive adventure mode, boss rush, wi-fi play, easy screenshots, replay storage, a stage builder, a trophy shooting game, and co-op for Adventure Mode, All-Star, Break the Targets, Home Run Contest, Multi Man Melee, Boss Rush, Event Matches, as well as online co-op for Home Run Contest and Multi Man Melee. I think I'll manage. ;)

Though I was surprised Board the Platforms didn't come back too. I figured it'd make perfect sense to have character-specific Platform challenges, considering the generic Target Tests that you pretty much need for co-op. Ah well. Race to the Finish and Snag the Trophies won't be missed much though.

Another thing I'm a little disappointed about is Masterpieces. I mean, we got a few great ones like F-Zero, Kirby's Adventure, Star Fox and Ocarina of Time. And the obvious ones like Ice Climbers, Kid Icarus and Super Mario Bros. But then we get like four Mario ones and nothing for Pokemon, Earthbound, Fire Emblem, Donkey Kong Country, Metal Gear or Sonic.

And the fact that the Japanese did get Earthbound and Fire Emblem masterpieces that were removed for us just makes it worse.

Post subject:  Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion

Somehow the Event Matches seem...not as good this time around.

As for the Bonus Points vs Everything Else argument...come now, you know that's silly. Such a little feature like Bonus Points obviously won't hold against the entire rest of the game. But it was a neat little thing to have. Kind of like unique, character-specific entrances.

I am increasingly disturbed by Nintendo's seemingly absolute refusal to let anyone other than the Japanese enjoy the beauty that is the Mother series.

After hearing a bit about EarthBound, I really, REALLY want to play it, but it actually never got released in Europe, ever. And thats probably how it'll stay.
C'mon Virtual Console! When they did the "games released only in Japan" month in the Virtual Console in Europe, why did we get Mario's Super Picross, but not EarthBound?

Am I the only one who liked target test more this time around?
