A hack, or a glitch? I've been looking all over the internet and I still havn't found out how to do it.

So I've been playing a lot of regular smash bros lately, and apparently I'm pretty good at luigi, and ness is the cheapest character ever to walk the planet. I'm going to beat my hallmate up in his sleep if he does that smash up down up combo on me one more time...

I don't really know how exactly to play this game though so all I do is mash 1 and 2 a lot hoping for some pwnage

Get a nunchuk at the very least. You can't hope to win without analog control.

Agreed. Try the Gamecube controller, as it's clearly the best option.

Also in regards to the tournament, I'm afraid I'm going to have to postpone my match for quite some time...I'm going away for vacation like this entire week. Sorry.

Where do I go about finding these Gamecube controllers

They're starting to make them again, but only in Japan, and there white, to match with the Wii. You could import one, or buy an old one from walmart/ebay/gamestop.
I recommend a wireless.

Do Wal-Marts still have GameCube controllers? I know my local one stopped housing GameCube stuff such as games, made me have to buy Pikmin 2 over eBay.

I just went to walmart on Saturday, and they had Game Cube controlers.

I still think that's too wide. Not sure though.

Author:  gino [ Fri Apr 18, 2008 5:38 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion

Is there a rule on wideness? If there's not, I want to change it back, but until someone tells me, I'll keep it like this.

Post subject:  Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion

Yeah, 500 pixels is the max for wideness. We like our conformity here. all hale the master raceIt keeps it looking nice and is convenient for the four remaining dial-uppers still floating around.

Ah, okay.
hmm...
Is anyone else frustrated with the lags during online play?
They freeze for, like, 2:00, enough to make whatever motion you
were making mess up.

Post subject:  Re: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion

Uhhhh... Duh. People have only been complaining about that since brawl came out. I hate it too, but theres nothing much you can do. Just hope online works for Mario Kart Wii, and push on.

On all-star mode, in the Lucas and Ness part, Ness grabbed me and Lucas hit me with the baseball bat while Ness was still holding me down.

...I think I just got mugged.

There are quite a few things you can do to help improve your online. I personally have had many rounds with little lag.

- Get a wired LAN adapter for your Wii
- If you can't/won't do that, set your wireless router channel from the default 6 to 1 or 11. These have much less interference for your Wii's weak sensor, made a huge improvement for me. The lag was pretty much always awful before this.
- Don't fight people entirely across the United States. ;)

The wii-mote + nunchuck control option is great...

I made a coupe of mods to the controls, though.
C = shield
z= attack
a= jump.
left and right d-pad = sideways smash
up d-pad= grab
down d-pad= something or other, I can't remember.

Snake is pretty tough to use in battle, I think.
It might be my style, though.
