You have to still have upwards momentum or else it won't take you very far. Use it right after your double jump (as you're still going up) to get a massive recovery boost.

Also, anybody know any decent ways of fighting against rob?

Use Diddy Kong to face rape him. That's what I do! Otherwise, just keep bombarding him with fast attacks and don't let him fight back.

It depends on what your opponent's strategy is. As far as the computer goes, I couldn't tell ya. It also depends on your character.

By the way, I despise the CPU AI in this game. Seriously, if you're playing a game with more than one CPU, they ignore each other and come straight after you, even if you're all the way across the screen. It's maddening.

DG plays rob a lot so I had to figure that out for myself. If your char has projectiles you can seriously put a dent in robs game. Also, never get above/below rob as he can rack up some serious damage that way. Its best to stay on the sides of him, on the ground and spot dodge his attacks. If he gets close you can force him back with any spinning down smash in my experience.

Sweet, Olimar's my main... but anyway, I'm not sure. I don't like facing against ROB's (cause usually the people I play against that use him are "cheap" or don't play with any chivalry or something.)

But I'd just try to dodge most spam attacks (basicly B moves) and try to hit him upwards because of his great recovery, or you could also keep hitting him far off the stage so he has to use his Up-B over and over, and eventually it runs out. I havn't played Brawl in a while cause I'm on vacation.

It happened!
I was playing an online team battle, I was playing as luigi, and I was almost knock off the stage for certain death! Suddenly, there was a huge lag! I repetedly kept pressing side-b to do the luigi rocket, when the guy who knocked me off grabbed a hammer! My luigi-rocket flew right into it and it knocked me upwards! Then, there was another lag as my partner was RIGHT above me and I knocked HIM out, and right before I died, the connection gave out!
