That's me! But yeah, I fell to my knees when I saw this update. I've been rooting for Sonic to be in the game. I honestly didn't think he was going to be in it though, I thought Mario & Sonic and the Olympic Games took the option away. Well, Sonic being in Brawl completely makes up for Olympic Games being a pretty crappy idea. The video of him made me even more ecstatic. He looks like he's going to be a really good character. He might just have to replace Mario as my main character. Plus, it's safe to assume that Super Sonic is his Final Smash. I don't know what's gonna happen, but I think it'll be epic. In conclusion, best update ever, and whoever didn't want Sonic to be in Brawl is bitter, cynical, and depressed. =D |

Just to point that out. Actually, no. You get a lot more murky once Sonic's confirmed. I've seen strong arguments for the likes of Geno and Simon Belmont as well. |

Some of Sonic's special moves. Eh, I predicted that they'd be those. That's not breaking the mold too much, but he still looks like an awesome character to use (minus the fact that his speed control will probably be like Yoshi's egg roll move or something to keep his "speed" there). |

Actually, not quite. Way back on August 14th I saw a mock-up cover for a pre-order thingie that had Sonic on the cover. (Here it is.) This was taken -- not by myself, admittedly -- from an EB Games store. I knew that somebody somewhere was gonna have a PR disaster if he weren't in the game. - Kef |

Well, it was a mock-up. EB Games wouldn't have a big problem if they put a little picture suggesting Rayman in there and it turned out he wasn't in the game. They would have a big problem if they feature Sonic prominently on the cover and it turned out he wasn't in the game. - Kef |

You Sonic haters need to get over it. First off, as far as we can tell, he won't be talking. None of the Smash characters really talk that much, most of them not at all. Not to mention, this is a fighting game. Not a crappy Sonic 3-D platformer. Also, may I point out that adventure mode is a side-scroller, basically what Sonic is best at. I see no problems, and many good things coming for Sonic. Also, the gameplay video is kinda cool, it confirmed the warp star, but all it really was that we hadn't seen was taunts. Though most of them did look cool. |

Nice of you to point that out. For me, it's fun to imagine the announcer declare at the end of a vs. match "This game's winner is... SONIC!" I can't believe I'll actually get to hear that. Now, can we let the Sonic hate/love alone and focus on something else? *sigh* ...I didn't think so. Did anyone notice Peach's new special move? She was singing and Bowser danced around like an idiot. I found that hilarious. |

I'm talking about Megaman as the next third-party character that they're alluding to still having up their sleeves. Everyone wanted Sonic, now we're getting Sonic. Many people also prominently want Megaman... so they're going to talk about it more, now that we've seen The Fastest Thing Alive step into the picture. |

Y'know, I can''t understand the people who think adding 3rd-party characters like Sonic is "ruining the purity of the game" or something. Heck, I'd love to see more 3rd-party characters in there. Throw 'em all in. SSB is supposed to be about crossovers, right? |
