Well, yes, actually, but to be fair, Rock Band 2 has its own share of awesome bands.

But it's the guitar, the drums, the better guitar interface, and the song creator that Guitar Hero has over Rock Band. Meanwhile, Rock Band is the only one with my favorite band in the world confirmed, and a guarantee that the downloadable content will be thoroughly supported.

I'll admit that I trust Activision's peripherals more than Harmonix's. But I can't see the song creator being very fun to use unless you're willing to put 20+ hours into a song. I mean, you don't even get vocals! And what's so good about the guitar interface, anyway?

I was kind of kidding about Van Halen, but them being in the game is an advantage, however small.

The guitar interface makes it much easier, at least to me, to see which notes need strumming, and to assess rhythmic values. Circles work better than bars with that for some reason.

Oh, that's fair too I guess. I just can't see drumming circles though.

Clearly you do not realize the full power of Hot for Teacher. ;)

Buying a 360 seems like a better prospect every day...

Except, sadly, Rock Band instruments are terrible compared to their Guitar Hero counterparts. I wouldn't even think of playing any of that faster stuff with the Rock Band guitar. It's still nice to have the option, though.

I like the guitar effect wizardry you can do with the rock band guitar, but I'm too used to GH guitars. Clickety strumming, outward buttons, and the small whammy bar.
Won't the GHWT drums get confusing when the song uses more than one type of cymbal/ crasher? At least in rock band there were no limits on peripherals, you could make any input anything.

Let's rephrase this.

I hope GHWT has a good single player career. It's cool that GH is turning into a band game and all but one thing I've always liked about Guitar Hero that it can be really fun playing by yourself as well as with other people which isn't the case with Rock Band.

Which is why I like GH better than RB.
