I'll probably end up with the PS2 version for cheap somehow. No point wasting money on the 360 version when all the DLC is with GH3.

I don't get the problem.

GH wanks are gamers.
They play a GAME.

We make MUSIC. We connect to some deeper part of ourselves and bring forth on a viscerally intellectual plane and expression of ourselves that can be utterly primal.

GH wanks connect to a console and become robotic parrots, enslaving their creativity to a screen animation. There is nothing of themselves in what they do.

They play the game, we play the songs.

The two cannot be compared. They are nothing close to the same.

Don't waste anymore of your time arguing with these people.
Remember, you can get better at guitar and create new things.

A gamer just follows commands.
A guitarist takes command.

So basically, I'm legion and the cake is a lie.

Haaa relax, fella, that speech was taken from a guitar forum. I play games and guitar. I don't take precedence over one or the other.

My cousin left his PS2 and Guitar Hero 1 and 2 here. I'm stuck on Free Bird on Hard.

Who wouldn't be? I haven't played GH2 in forever, then again, I don't have it, my brother does.

Raining Blood is the only song I have yet to 5 star on expert, and it's ticking me off.

Whoa, figured they would find a way to put it on the DS. It looks kinda cool, but I noticed there seems to be no orange button....

Well, seems cool. I'm a little upset because this guy I'm not really great friends with came over to my house a few weeks ago and broke my GH3 game disk. Now most of the songs won't work. Ughh.

*DS_Kid goes back to buying DS games*

This looks to be pretty sweet, especially because it has more songs than Elite Beat Agents (which already took up enough of my life as it is). I'm also liking the ideas for the Battle Mode (one item has you having to sign autographs and another has you having to blow out pyrotechnics with the microphone). I'm hoping that this turns out to be a solid game.

You can also find out more information about it right here. No online, it seems. :(

That's awesome!!!! I can't wait until this comes out!

I guess due to its gameplay there will be no such thing as a lefty flip :-P
I'm left handed when it comes to holding a stylus, but I play a guitar regularly.

I'd like it more if the trailer wasn't insanely annoying.

Eventually you learn to ignore the cheesiness of it all.

I'd like it more if she came with the game.

Official Guitboxtar Heromanguy DS site is up. Nothing real interesting except some close-up shots of the "Guitar Grip" and some in game screenshots.

1. It won't work.
2. Don't you have Guitar Hero too?
3. If you do, use that controller instead.

Well actually, there's probably a way to get it to work. I just couldn't in the hour and a half I spent trying.

I recall you stating before that you in fact did get it to work. I'll make the same suggestion that I gave to you before you said that you got it to work.

Go buy a cheap keyboard and use that. If not, go buy a cheap 3rd party guitar, I have one and it works fine.

I also, recall that you are using the original Frets on Fire, try updating to the newest version, might help.

For the lazy who won't be checking out the Wii thread, Rock Band has an official release date of June 22, 2008 for the Wii. The game has five bonus songs in it for the Wii version, which apparently brings the song total up to sixty-three. No news on online play and downloadable content yet, but it hopefully will take advantage of download services after Nintendo announced their Pay to Play service at GDC.
