Funny, I would have expected you to get it at the same time I did.

I don't personally play Grand Theft Auto, but my brother dies. He has San Andreas, Vice City and he hated Grand Theft Auto 3 so he sold it. It looks kinda fun,but I'm not allowed to play it. I'm still too busy playing Brawl.

Wait, your brother dies? When? Are you some sort of psychic?

So I finally got around to trying GTA4 at my friend's. I have to say, I'm impressed. It feels more like a actual, living world then most sandbox games I've seen, with all the little realistic touches. Plus, the physics engine leads to some surprisingly awesome stuff, like hitting people with helicopter blades to send them flying. :D I didn't get a chance to try the rocket launcher, but I heard you can skip rockets off the pavement somehow.

EDIT: also, crowing moment of awesome: stealing one of those little carts from the airport, getting into a police chase, and evading them by driving between the wheels of a plane that's about to take off and watching them all get swept away.

It's true, there is a way to make rockets ricochet. My friend banked one off the road and hit a pigeon. IT WAS EPIC!! ... I'm not sure as to how you do it though...

Anyways, I played GTA IV for the first time at my friend's house last night. Gotta say, it's everything I thought it would be. What impressed me the most was the the sheer vastness and intricacy to the environment. I mean in San Andreas and other GTA games there were a lot of wide, open landscapes with little infrastructure. GTA IV is a mass jungle of infrastructure, with every little detail accounted for. There's even graffiti!! Actual, bona-fide graffiti and not that weak stock video game graffiti!

The gameplay also lives up to standards, of course. I love the blind fire and the realistic movements. Like when my friend shot a cop in a hospital. He stumbled back, hit the wall, slowly slid down and ended up a slumped over corpse in the corner. The driving is also wayyyy more realistic this time around. Oh, and I like how when you shoot some one in the head while they're driving, they're head can hit the steering wheel and the car'll keep moving.

P.S. Starting a rampage in the hospital is bloody fun. It's like the bottleneck effect, there's only one way for the cops and swat members to get in! It worked in 300 and it works in GTA IV!

You know what amazes me? There is only one place in this game to play darts. ONE. And When you invite Packie to play a game and he's all the way at the State Prison and you have to drive over all three islands just to get there and back, its not bloody worth the car bombs he gives you.

Just take him drinking.

Also, state prison? What's he doing there, visiting Gerry? Wouldn't he be at his house?

Get a helicopter, fly to the Statue of Happiness, get as close as you can to level thats rigtht below her feet, and jump onto the ledge and go into one of the doors, I think its the one on the south side. Not the ledge where there are stairs leading up to, the one right above that one. If you get it right, and go in through the door, you'll be inside the statue, and there will be a ladder that you can climb. Climb it, and look up. You'll find a gigantic beating heart being held down by chains.

How do they do that? Are they seriously just parking the car there, and then profit?

Well, its just running into a crowded building holding a grenade and waiting.

Once you get the Carbomb feature from Packie, it gets a bit more interesting. Strap it to your car, get in a traffic jam and get all sorts of people to crowd around you and then BOOM! Explosion city.

Oh yeah, you have to earn the bombs from packie. Essentially, just take him out to eat and bowl and drink and all that stuff and he'll give eme to you eventually.

A good tip is to fit more than one activity into each mandate. That makes the like and respect stuff go up faster I think.

Not really. What if someone asked you to go eat, but before you get something to eat, they take you to a bad Comedy club with an out of work Comedian who's jokes are old and stale? Wouldn't like it, now would you? And You'd probably have to pay, too.

Been playing this game A LOT.

I restarted the game, so the achievements werent locked (Using cheat codes locks some achievements.)

Now the only cheat I use is spawn a helicopter, and I only do this to ram the police helicopters to get them to crash. lol.
