Acekirby wrote: Guitar Hero for the Wii (and Xbox) have been rumors for a long time. I believe Teff asked the company a while ago if they were making Guitar Hero for the Wii, but was denied. But here's hoping that they've changed their minds and this story is true; Guitar Hero is awesome.
If it is true, I can't wait to see the type of guitar they'd make for the Wii version. The Xbox360 one has been confirmed, and Activision is trying to get several games on all the main consoles, so its likely that GH2 and 3 would come out for the Wii. You know, I think if Wii gets GH2 and 3, the guitar might be a Flying V, or better yet, a Stratocaster; It'd be like Jimi Hendrix. Alos, Loc'd and TOTPD. |

Apparently there's a new Wii channel under the "Wii Ware" section of the shop channel. It allows you vote in polls, or something along that line. I still need to download it, though. EDIT: It's pretty cool. You vote for one of two choices for a question and then have the ability to try and predict the results of the topic. Your win/loss record is then recorded down under the Mii you chose to represent you (you can register up to 6 Miis in this channel) after a poll is finished with for both your vote and your prediction for which vote would win. You can also suggest a question to Nintendo and they may put it up in the future if there's enough suggestions for it. |

I just downloaded it, the questions aren't that great, but they aren't too bad. I like it though, especially for free. |

The Everybody Votes Channel seems pretty great (considering it's free and all)! A nice little pull from Nintendo. They've already put out "obvious" channels like News, Weather and Internet. They should start releasing more unique channels (not to mention, better Internet usability) like this now, in order to get over all the hype. VC games (with no Internet multiplayer mode!) and a browser alone won't be able to do it. |

Legitimate double-post time! So, I got the Classic Controller today. I really like it's small, sleek, back-to-basic design. It's a lot better to play VC games with it than the GC controller. I'm also wondering if there's a way to connect the remote to your PC (via Bluetooth, of course) and play emulator games with the Classic Controller. Anyone know of any sites about Wiimotes and PCs? |

Edit button. You would need to rewire the sensor bar to the computer and write your own driver for it. This could seriously take months for a single person to attempt, and isnt guaranteed to work. Some people are making decent progress, though. |

Like I said, that double-post was legitimate. Rules wrote: Spam includes:
f. Double-posts that are not at least three hours apart. But anyway, I was looking for a solution to use only the buttons (which communicate via Bluetooth) on a PC. I figured it probably shouldn't be that hard, since I don't need motion sensing capabilities. I shall keep investigating teh Internets. |

You'll still need lots of scripting experience. Instead of doing it, just wait till these guys are done, then use their driver. |

Ok, I managed to connect the Wiimote to my PC (no drivers installed, just sync'd while my Bluetooth device was searching for new devices). I installed GlovePIE which comes with a folder full of ready-made scripts for the Wiimote (ranging from regular controller schemes to all sorts of crazy crap such as turning the leds into a Cylon's visor or). Then I tried playing Contra on the Nestopia emulator and everything worked just great! Even though the latest version of GlovePIE supports the Classic Controller, I'm still missing a good script. I tried making one myself using the GUI, binding the buttons to different keys on the keyboard. That only resulted in laggy, lousy controls and I'm nowhere near being an experienced scripter to fix the problem. I've tried installing PPJoy (it has a virtual joystick interface), but everytime I run the install program, my Virus Scanner gives an alert about a Hidden extension .exe. Does anyone know of any alternate sites hosting (hopefully) the latest version of PPJoy? |

6324 9743 7460 3573 is my Wii number. Why dis I say that? No reason. I'm bored, so I just added Ramrod to my address book. With any luck, he might add me. Or he might kill me. Let's find out. |

Do what I do: Copy the contents of the message, delete it, paste them in a new message, and add the new part of the message after putting "EDIT" In with big bold font. It's a questionably moral bump. The polls thing sounds cool. I wish I had my Wii. |

I've actually only played on the Wii recently at a friend's house, but it's okay. It takes forever to learn how to do certain things, like toss a bowling ball, or serve in tennis. Or maybe that's just cuz I suck at tennis in general. >_> Probably... Well, it's pretty cool. My mom said if my sis and I were interested in it so much, we might get one? But in all honesty, I don't think we'd ever have the time...all she wants us to do is study. T_T |

I've gone ahead and added you, then.
Why is it that I have so much trouble with the shredding microgame and the pizza-spinning microgame in their default The Boxer and The Umbrella? If I switch to The Remote Control and just make a bunch of circles, I can win much more easily. Where's the realism?

the vote channel is fun and silly.. I don't think I really "get" anything out of it, but it's always fun to push buttons and move my mii all over the place and stuff.. booyah! maybe they will start asking "racy" questions.. probably not. btw wii tennis and bowling were easy enough for me to figure out.. this morning, I actually figured out how to do very fast serves that my opponents cannot return! sometimes. I'm not great at bowling, but last night, my friend tried it for the first time ever, and he kept getting strikes and spares.. woot! |

My friend has a Wii, and on Saturday my wife and I tried it out for the first time. I thought it was fun, but more importantly, my wife liked it a lot. It's so much easier to make purchases like that when your wife thinks it's her idea. |

Tommorrow, I'll be going to an eb games, so sell all my anime dvds and some of my gamecube games to buy a wii. That is, if one is in stock. It's actually just going to cost me just over $200. I have a membership there, so when I sell them something for store credit, I get 10% more, and when I buy something, I pay 10% less. If I have 200 dollars worth of dvds/gc games, I'll actually get $220. Also, because of the member discount, I'll only pay $225 for the wii. I'm selling about 30 dvds (Including box sets, and whatnot), and like 6 or 7 gamecube games. I'm also bringing my gamecube so sell since wii can play gamecube games. I dont think I'll be online with it most of the time. I think I'll just hook it up once to download some virtual console games, then unhook it. Hopefully, I'll have enough money for a classic controller, some wii points, and whatever else. Blah! I'll post my wii code when I get it. If I get it. After all, it didnt happen last time. I envy you all. |

It's so much easier to make purchases like that when your wife thinks it's her idea. Well, I did read some article somewhere that called the Wii one of the best "Tech Products Your Wife Approves Of." Of course, being a tech geek myself, my future husband should have no problems on that front, unless he tries to buy something REALLY needless. Like, infomercial-needless. |
