If you people ever get the chance, get call of duty. It's awesome. I've played the xbox360 and wii versions, and the wii version is so much more fun. So I've just been playing CoD3 mostly, but also super smash brothers melee a little bit, and some super mario sunshine. SSBM and sunshine are the games that my girlfriend got me for my birthday, and I've been dying to play them forever. I also bought a wii vertical stand thing, an SD memory card, a wiimote grip, a wireless sensor bar, and a charge station rechargeable battery thing. I was so paranoid at the mall, walking around with a wii in a bag. I actually brought my pocketknife with me, in case anyone tried to jump me or something. I know it sounds stupid, but it has happened quite a few times. Recently, in a local mall, some kid in a wheelchair bought a wii. About a hundred feet down the hallway, some guy walked right up to him, and tried to grab the wii from him. When he refused, the guy punched him a bunch of times till he gave it up. That's how pathetic some people are. Anyways, go back and read the second article J-man linked to. Read the 8th thing the guy mentions. I seriously dont like the situation with the wires. I usually play video games on a small tv I have in my room, but I cant play this one there until I get different wires. In the meantime, I am playing on the bigger TV, but I dont like it's location. G2G play more mario sunshine. |

"Vertical stand thing"? Doesn't the Wii already come with that? Also, you gotta post your Wii number so we can add you. In case you don't know how to find it: 1) Hit the envelope button on the bottom-right of the Wii Menu. 2) Hit the button on the bottom-left that says "Create a message" or something like that. 3) Click on the address book. I think that would be the one on the far right. 4) Go to the very very first page--you might even have to back a page when you get to the address book--and you'll find s page that shows your console's unique Wii number. Post that number here, add us (just hit "Register" on the address book and follow the onscreen directions), then we'll add you. |

Jimmie wrote: "Vertical stand thing"? Doesn't the Wii already come with that? The one I bought comes in a pack with a 512 MB SD card, a wiimote grip, and a wrist strap (although it is one of the weak wrist straps.) The whole pack was $40, so it's like as if I bought an SD card, and got the other stuff for free.
The stand I bought is much wider, and has holders for 4 wiimotes and 1 little area where you can put something else, like a nunchuck or a classic controller. I'll post my friend code eventually, but my wii doesnt have internet connection right now. I'll get it soon. Right now I'm just focusing on getting some VC games, a classic controller, dragonball z (Since it uses the classic controller) and some gamecube games. I wanna stock up on those before they are out of stores. Is there any way to get out of a gamecube game without restarting the wii? |

Probably not. That's how it was on the original GameCube. It had a main menu, but it was nothing like the Wii's. There was nothing fun on it to do. Pretty much just settings, memory management, etc... |

Agreed. I was worried because they were going to be moving from the spectacular RPGs to a platformer, but it looks absolutely awesome. Also I can't wait for Smackdown vs Raw 2008 for the Wii. For the obvious reasons. |

So, the new Pokemon game, and more importantly, the first wi-fi game, is gonna come out soon. |

I want Super Paper Mario so very badly. It's so SHINY and SHIMMERY! I was worried for the same reasons as Ace, because I love those RPG's. But watching in-depth footage of the game has put those worries from my mind. Now I say: I only wish I could bring it on! T_T |

I have call of duty 3, and I'll probably wait for a price drop before I buy more wii games. In the meantime, I'm stocking up on gamecube games for the time being. I can get some really good one at gamestop from anywhere from $6-20 used. Also, if any of you dont have any gamecube games right now, I suggest you get some. Seriously, what do you guys plan to do if you break your arm or something? |

It's getting pushed back and it is very likely that it will get cancelled. It's a shame, because I was really looking forward to it. Wikipedia found a way to make wiimotes float. |

I hope I can get my wii online soon. I dont have much money right now, though, but spring is here, so I'll probably start mowing lawns again. I have just enough money for about 1 game. I'm really not sure which game I want to get at this point. I guess I'll figure it out when I get to the store. I loved working at the cemetery I used to work at; I used to be able to buy games every week. EDIT: I just got back from the store a while ago. I got GT pro series (wii) and bomberman generation (GCN). GT pro series is OK. Not the best racing game ever, but it will do. I guess I just dont like the cell shading as much. I'm not sure why, but I greatly favor realistic graphics in racing games. I dont mind cell shading in other games, though. Anyways, the gameplay is a little awkward. It takes some time to get used to steering with the wiimote, mostly because it takes time to get used to this game's physics, like skidding, weather, etc. I'll try it out for a while, and if I still dont like it, I might return it for need for speed carbon. Anyone got any news on when the game prices are due to drop? I want to start buying new games instead of used. Also, does anyone know what FarCry: Vengeance is like? Why is it the only $20 wii game? Is it bad, or is that just a marketing strategy or something? Yet another EDIT: The wii gun is coming out soon. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_Remote#Wii_Zapper Gamestop says may 1st. |

I hear they did a crapjob for the Far Cry on Wii. Here's three games I have that are awesome, all for Wii: Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It's just freakin' awesome. ExciteTruck. Awesome racing game with motion controls, and works really well with the steering wheel controller attachment. WarioWare Smooth Moves: Really fun, but it's over really quickly. |

Do it, Carbon is definately one of the better racing games I've played. If you can, get Most Wanted instead, the gameplay is certainly better then Carbon. Regardless, Carbon is still a top tier racing game. |

And I am planning on getting resident evil 4. Gooddealgames.com has a rare-ish resident evil 4 bonus disc available on their site for $20. Yes, I've been playing GT pro, and it is just alright, but nothing special. I hope I can get to EB Games soon to trade it in for carbon. I've played carbon on the Xbox 360, and I've been wanting to play it for wii. |

Cooking mama? I dont think I'm going to get that game. I heard it's good. Use wiimote to crack eggs, flip burger and stuff, all that fun stuff. I probably wont get it, but I want to try it some time. |

Dude, it is pretty fun. I thought the lack of turn based battles would be pretty bad, but it is very nice. I am pretty early in the game though, I just got the Pure Heart in the mansion. |

Since I've seen this a bit throughout the thread, let me make it clear. Guys, take release dates from store websites like Target, Gamestop, EB Games, etc., as a grain of salt. Normally, these are placeholder dates and hold no true value towards the actual release. For actual release dates, check websites like IGN and Gamespot for official articles (don't always believe the dates on the main pages for these games, as they're sometimes not updated with the articles). Okay, now I'm going back to homework.
