Youtube worked for me... I watched a few vids on it even. But I tried it again a few hours later and it said I had a "dated Java/Flash".

Also not to complain... but it is so lonely with none of the forum peoples I don't know not accepting those friend invite thingies :P.

Has a feeling he is gonna be flamed...

Ah, I forgot to mention in this thread that I got my Wii on my birthday last weekend. It was part of the second shipment, so came with the strengthened strap. Not that I thought I needed it at all.

Also, Wii Sports = grand olde time.

Why are the graphics on the wii's internet so bad? Everything is so small and hard to see... And it seems that you can't click rapidly. I do like the "word guessing system thing" though.

Have you pressed the + button yet? It'll zoom in on text.

Personally, I wish that there were more zoom functions, but hopefully the final version will have it with tabbed browsing, or something.

It's readable then, but it's huge, It takes forever to read what someone has posted because it takes so long to scroll across.

Sorry that I sounded needy. It just was really boring going on there along sometimes. Sorry :P.

How is the keyboard handled? The normal painful console way?

Like the DS keybord, but with a nifty feature that guesses what words you are going to type. When you type it displays a list of words that it thinks it might be, and you can click on them to insert them into whatever you're writing.

Watching Homestar Runner cartoons on the Wii is gweat. You can even watch videos at YouTube and listen to Underøath at PureVolume on the Wii. What fun! Image

Like an on-screen keyboard - point and click. Apparently there's a function that'll guess what word you're trying to type, though, so that's helpful.

(I've never used it myself - I don't own a Wii. This is just from what I've heard)

I hope they release like, a wireless keyboard attachment for the Wii. That would be a freaking win.

I just sealed a deal that ensures that I will be the proud owner of a wii, starting next monday, when I get a chance to see the current owner, who lives 50 miles away. It's only costing me $210, and It's new in the box. (A 80 year old lady bought it for her grandson, but ended up selling it to me, to make the long, cancer-filled, california/delaware/new york-based story short.)

Anyways, on to the purpose of the post. I have a bunch of GCN game, plus I'll have wii sports, but I'll need new games eventually. What games should I buy? I plan on getting Zelda, and downloading some virtual console games. Any classics for suggestion?

I'm a little dissapointed in nintendo's small virtual console game catalogue, though. I know it must be hard managing all those servers, and whatnot, but I was all excited months ago, when nintendo said "The Revolution (Later, Wii) will be able to play any nintendo game ever made." I thought I would be able to DL all my favorite N64 games, like goldeneye, banjo-kazzoie, and others.

I just hope they continue the updates and get some more of my favorites up there. Also, I'm hoping north america will get a star points system, like europe.

Question time!!! If I brought a wiimote into a store, would I be able to play the store displays? I occasionally see store displays stuck on a "press start" screen, so will I be able to use my own remote to play them. I would like to, just to see the looks on the other customer's faces when they see me walk away with the remote, tihnking I stole store's property. I have a weird mind.

Well, in order to play a Wiimote on a system you need to press the Sync button on the Wii's SD card slot and on the Wiimote's battery hatch.

So...No I doubt that they will let you open on their SD card slots.

...Apparently they were stuck on the title screen because they don't know how to sync the wiimotes. Waberroflle.

Hmmm. I actually have a friend who works at a local Gamestop, so I guess I can manage it. I just have to get there, and my schedule is a little booked. I'll get to it later.

And yes, I planned on putting my mii on the store display. Just 'cause.

Well, it sounds not unbearable... But yeah, they definitely need a keyboard.

...Maybe Sega will re-make Typing od the Dead... XD

It was a dissapointing post by me, a few above yours. I was complaining about wii's small virtual console catalogue.

I found out why there is only one n64 game available for now.

Playin' Wii Sports in a movie theater.

Yeah, that's not really that impressive. You don't need a sensor bar of any sort to play any of the Wii Sports. It only detects Wiimote Movement.

If can almost guarantee that if they played a game where you need a sensor bar like Red Steel, it wouldn't work.

How do you connect to the internet? I ran an update and all it gave me was Forecast channel. Is Opera a channel or do you access it through settings?

You gotta go to the Virtual Console channel and "buy" it. Don't worry, it's free.

How odd, I find the graphics fine, the text perfectly readable, and the word-guesser almost entirely useless. :P
Posting from my Wii right now. It's not easy! console #: 7355 7259 5826 9723
