Assuming that my aunt's friend got my aunt's message before she sold the wii to someone else, I'll be picking it up tommorrow. So, could someone explain a little bit more about...everything?

Does it have a hard drive, or do I have to go dig out my old flash chips or something?

What is the purpose of a friend's code (Benefits, I mean. What does one do?)

What virtual console titles can be played with the gc controller? (Is buying the classic controller necessary, considering I have a gamecube controller?)

And is there online multiplayer yet? Does it cost extra?

If (and when) there is, I want to play SSBB against my girlfriend. SSBM is the only game that I always beat her at.

Okay, now posting from a computer. So, we got an extra controller and nunchuk, Twilight Princess, and Call of Duty 3. I just finished playing the former and Dan is playing the latter right now. We love the boxing, it's so immersive and fun.

Bwave:
- There is a hard drive as well as SD card compatibility.
- Friend codes are for sending messages, Miis, and eventually, playing online against people in your contacts.
- All of them, I think. Definitely the SNES and N64 games. NES games can be played with the Wiimote itself.
- There are no online games yet, but they and the browser are free.

Nes, Genisis, AND TurboGraphix games can be played with the Wiimote. Except for, as Nintendo puts it, "Some" games. However all games for NES/GEN/TURBO work fine with Wiimote.

Got the Wii today.

Wii Sports: Awesome. I really like the Boxing and the Tennis.

Twilight Princess: Grah, I just started playing it, it's awesome, but I feel lame for not knowing how to get the stupid cat back to the lady in the shop. I NEED A SLINGSHOT!!!

Rayman: Haven't played it yet, although my brother and sister are having fun with it.

Questions:

You need a wireless adapter to hook it up to the internet, right?
How do you find the friend code for the console?

The friend code is in the address book thing.

You can use a router or whatever, but if you just need wireless internet for Nintendo Systems, get the USB thing. That's what I use.

Did any of you Red Steel owners notice that with certain guns (like the sniper rifle), if you aim all the way to the ground, you can see the end of the arm model for your player? It's kinda odd, but cool to see most of the polygon model (at least, to me its cool

).

EDIT: Nevermind, it's the very end of those guns that I'm seeing. I swear though, in some of those darker areas, it does look like the arm model. Ah well.

What possible security threat could posting your Wii Code pose? If you're afraid of spammers or something, that's not possible. You will have to add them as well.
