I'm trying to cut the end off of a song on my computer. I've been searching around for a simple, free software that'll be able to do that, but all i can find are complex programs that don't support wma files. Do you know where I can find a good software that'll work?

I dunno if it supports wma, but try Audacity.

That was one of my first tries, but yeah, it doesn't support wmas.... well, it did support one wma (somehow) but it just came out as a blip. I'm looking for something a bit simpler than that anyways, if possible.

I would try searching sites like SourceForge, tucows, and Download.com.

You could always use this and import it into audacity.

I use a program called WavePad. It will allow you to upload WMA's. It's freeware too, but after a month, it will disable a lot of cool features. Easy to fix though. You just reinstall it, and those features are restored. And I find some of its features easier to use than Audacity.

Just use Windows Movie Maker. Add the sound to your collection, drag it to the timeline, drag the end tab of the song until it's where you want it and then save it. Movie Maker will save it as a sound file as long as it has no video in it.
