So...question.

If there's something you wanted to discuss but there was already a discussion on it say, a year ago? Would it be ok to revive that topic or would you rather us create a new one.

Or the Sbemails for example.

What if there was an email I wanted to comment on but it came out in, say, 2004. Would I be able to do that w/o getting into trouble or do you just advise us to not do that at all.

People seem to complain a lot about bringing back old topics so...I thought I'd ask :-S

We prefer that people post in old topics instead of making a new one. But this is only the case when you have something worthwhile to say, and not just "i liek the emale!"

Yeah, the current thinking is that you should at least try to look for an older topic and then post there if there is one, no matter how old it is. When you revive it, you can, of course, try to spin the thread in a slightly different direction. The reasoning behind this is probably that those legendary forumers of yore had stuff to say about the topic that shouldn't just be thrown away because it's old.

The pre-forum emails, though.. I'm thinking since there's much less to say about any individual email so far after it came out, mods wouldn't like a topic for each. But of course the mods can prove me wrong :)

Ooh, that gives me an idea! I should make a thread for discussion about all the classic emails. You know, like... pre-100 and such. Those.

... Except... I'm too lazy right now. So someone will probably end up stealing said idea.

However, when you do revive a thread, PLEASE OH PLEASE make a decent post, not just "I LEIKD DISS " about a email from 2 years ago or else me and probably Cola will come bite your head off with flames. So...pretty much what Chekt said.

Because we all know flames are decent posts...

If someone makes a worthless post to revive a thread let it go. The 500 "DEAR GOD! YOU ARE A NECROMANCER!!!" posts are just as bad as the post that revives the thread.

Well, here you're not supposed to say "Hell" unless it refers to the place, but I think you can get away with that because it's in the TGS cartoon.

Oh, yeah! And thanks for saying that you like my idea!

I think the entire hell rule got rendered moot when hella was put in the TGS cartoon. They're exactly the same word. One of them just has a vowel on the end.

You mean May 12, 2003, a year before this forum started? :P
