How do I put a banner in my posts?

1. Create your banner and save it either as PNG or JPG.
Make sure it is no bigger than 500 x 100 pixels, and no larger than 65kb.

2. Upload your banner onto a picture-hosting web site like Imageshack or Photobucket.

3. Post a link to your banner in your sig on your Profile page, and use the IMG code to show it. A-like so:

[img]http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/9011/shovelerfz2.jpg[/img]

If you like, you can also have your banner link to a separate web site, so that if anyone clicks on it, it will take them there. A-like so:

If you use multiple banners (as I do), or intend to combine banners with text, make sure that the finished product totals no more than 500 x 100 pixels.

okay, if someoen is going to sticky this, then remove the first and every other post, not including Didds post, then rename it "How to put an image in your banner"

K, sorry, I'm using photobucket and I imported that one as a separate thing, but it overwrote my old signature. I did a warped one instead.

Looks like it to me. 100 x 350. Is it supposed to be no more than 300 too?

It's showing up on my screen as 174 x 498. My suggestion is to manually shrink it in Photoshop, MS Paint, or whatever, then upload it.

Well, I set it up in Photoshop to match 350 x 100. Check it yourself. Paste it into a 1x1 pixel MS Paint, even. It'll show.
