Looks like it's just N, M, and space getting thrown in. Those keys are all next to each other, so maybe something or some liquid got down in there between all those keys and is activating them randomly? Dunno, just a guess. That's weird.

there are other problems with y and enter, too. I used half a can of air duster, apparently to no avail.

Take your keyboard apart. Wipe the circuit board beneath the keys with a slightly damp paper towel.

Stand on your head, balance it on your feet, spread your arms, sing the theme song to "My Little Pony" and, this is crucial, go buy another one.

I fixed it.

All it took was one of these and almost a whole 10 oz can of compressed air, but it's working.

I ended up taking the keyboard out of the laptop, and spraying it with the compressed air from every conceivable angle, using the cleaning kit to clean all the way around each key, then finishing up with the compressed air to blow away anything that the cleaning dislodged. I was ready to buy a new keyboard (it would have been about the same price as the stuff I used; I have a Dell Inspiron 2200 and Dell sells replacement keyboards for them for something like $10), but I thought I'd try the cleaning first.

COLA, I'm a redneck. There's no way I'm buying a new ANYTHING until I see if I can fix the old one. That, and I couldn't enter my info on the order site, as the keyboard wasn't working...
I made the readable part of the first post in this thread by typing it on my cell phone and sending it to my compy via AIM...

Well, now that this is done... LOK'D
