What program should I use to make gifs? And is it possible to make gifs using paint?

Yes, MS Paint can do gifs.

However, one thing that I noticed is that The GIMP saves higher-quality gifs (not going off of the 256-color limit, from the images I've saved). I'm not exactly sure how that works out, but I'd suggest the GIMP for gifs among other graphic-editing (especially when its free).

In the case of animated gifs: no, MS Paint can't do those.

However, The GIMP is perfect for animated gifs, as well; it'll just take a bit of practice (not a lot, though).

Adobe ImageReady is the best, though. I usually stand up for free software, but ImageReady is hands down the best animated gif program.

So I downloaded Paint.net. Is it possible to make gifs with this? If so, how?
