We are very pleased to announce that the Homestar Runner Wiki Forum has recently upgraded to phpBB3!

There will be a period of adjustment as we all get used to it. Not all of the style features have been implemented, and some of them might change. So, if you hate the style or if something doesn't quite work right, don't panic. (If you love the style, we'd like to know that too.) If you have a technical problem or a suggestion, say so here. This thread will probably fill up pretty quickly, so put "Technical problem" or "Suggestion" in bold at the beginning of your post, but do not yell and do not be inconsiderate.

I hope the transition goes smoothly for all. Thanks for your patience and cooperation as we work out the kinks.

I think in time, you'll come to appreciate that. Especially when it's a busier thread. Has the possibility to make you look less stupid.

Second'd. I've arleady messed that up two or three times. But if it's not possible, I guess it won't be too hard to adjust.

Also, user titles are pretty easy to do. I remember how easy it was on SI.

Custom User Titles, several more features when it comes to wording, such as scrolling text/images/etc.

Also, MUSIC PLAYER PLZ. We could fill it with Frampton Comes Alive.

Hmm...several things:
  • Like I previously said, this Forum looks really slick now. It's really easy to get used to.
  • Was it true that the previous version of the Forum had a 100,000 character-limit? If so, why did it drop down to 60,000?
  • Are there any plans to add new features, like custom Titles for users? Now that we can tell who the admins and mods are by the color of their names within posts, it seems like having titles wouldn't make it too hard to distinguish between admins, mods, and regular users.
  • Are any emoticons going to be added/changed around? The Stinkoman one under "View More Smilies" would fit perfectly with the other members of the Homestar cast.
  • Is anything else planning on being changed? For instance, will there be any new MODs?

As you all now know, phpBB3 is wicked sexy.



Unfortunately this is probably the disadvantage to having no Jello B. He worked some serious magic with the Serious Inc transition and made the styles look beautiful. Oh well I'm sure we'll figure it out.

All the SI user titles were given by mods and admins. It would be the same here. We would have to go into your profile, create an entirely new user title, and give it to you. So I doubt we'll want to go to all that trouble.

There may or may not be a "personal text" option like on some other boards where you create kind of a user title, but I'm not sure.
