How come my vista computer won't detect my Sanyo VPC-S770?

And a Sanyo VPC-S770 is a digital camera btw. My computer doesn't detect it, I already installed the software but it only installed Photo Impression 5 and a manual (I looked at the manual, didn't say anything about this problem) and photo impression said I only had 2 cameras and scanners installed and that was my webcam and my cannon scanner. Please help thanks.

EDIT: And photo impression keeps not responding.

Try editing the properties of the application and making sure it is running in compatibility mode. Most likely the software is for XP and therefore needs to be ran in compatibility mode for XP.

Also, try turning on the camera once you have it plugged in.

Thanks, I thought the camera would already turn on when I plugged it in but i was wrong :-P
