So I've been trying to play Fable for the Xbox lately, and um, nothing is working. I tried to skip the stuff before you can start playing by hitting Y, which usually skips it, but it's not working. So I thought "K, I'll just sit through it." I did, and still, the controls weren't working.
So I kicked the disc out, and there was minimal damage... minor scratches, nothing that would prevent the whole game from working.
It's not the controller and it's not the console.
If it helps, I was trying to play it on my 360.
Anyone know what the culprit could be?

Try playing it on your original Xbox and see if it works.

That's what I thought the problem might be after a while, but um, my brother took the old Xbox and I don't really know where it is now.
