Directly inspired by this post.

Would you watch toon versions of the SBCG4AP episodes? I think if they were done right, all of them except Homestar Ruiner would be entertaining (Strong Bad getting jealous of Homestar just for entering the race earlier than him and then helping Homestar get his glory back makes a terrible plot), but I don't know if I would want to watch them.

I'm gonna go with a big fat no on that one. You made the argument for me, The entire aspect of controlling Strong Bad is one of the things that make the game more enjoyable. That and everyone that has the games already knows what happens.

Now, I would like to see the H*R content and the games kinda crossover a little bit (just once or twice reference game-only content), because I don't want the games to be one-offs. But I doubt that will happen. Not everybody has the games, and might feel disoriented.

As a non-game-owner, I would have to say that toons based on the game would feel like yet another plug for the game and worry me that they would abanndon the free website for other, more expensive mediums. One of my favorite things about H*R is the 100% payment-and-advertisement-free content, and having every episode beome product-based would definitely cheapen the deal.

i think it would be cool to have a toon that would basically be a walkthrough for you, but thats just me

I say yes, but only because I'm legally obligated to watch every toon that is released on HR.

i dont know if anyone else has noticed, and I pointed this out on another thread, that there seems to be elements from SBCG4AP leaking over into the toons, like the cell phone from Homestar Ruiner, and there was the toon where it showed Strong Bad's Devil and Angel sides, and then recently in the Halloween cartoon, Marzipan had a camera similar to Strong Sad's in Baddest of the Bands

It would be more cool if tbc did like a walkthrough with commentary, or lets play as its known on youtube, of the games. But that will never happen.

NO! They would basically be walkthroughs, and they would have MASSIVE spoilers!

... I don't even have the games. I just finished the Homestar Ruiner Demo.

Well, with the exception of 8-bit is enough, they do feel like they should be toons instead of games.

Not to me.
Things I wouldn't be able to stand about SBCG4AP toons:
Episode 1: Strong Bad helps Homestar
Episode 2: Strong Bad helps the King of Town
Episode 3: Characters make weak jokes
Episode 4: To save time, one would have to remove Sultry Buttons, Senor Cardgage, the card game, and Professor Experimento's first bit.

Yes!

Different Names Though Maybe.

Homestar Ruiner = The Race To The End Of The Race (or just The End Of The Race)
Strong Badia The Free = The King Must Go Info Video
Baddest Of the Bands = Battle of the Bands
Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective = No Change
8-Bit Is Enough - Strong Bad: Video Game Traveler...er

For Wiki Articlewise:
The Race... would Redirect to Contests
Battle/Bands again, Redirect to Contests
D3:TCP would redirect to game unless the game is called Danger... Projective (video game) or (Strong Bad installment)
SB:VGT would, if you short it would be Strong Bad

I decided to see what it would be like to take SBCG4AP, record it, cut out pointing and clicking, and mash it all together. I used Homestar Ruiner, and it ended up being a 45-minute toon. Uploading it to YouTube MIGHT not be that easy.
