Do you have anything to back up your claim that WiiWare games will be avaliable in Aus at the same time as elsewhere, thus making them unique among Nintendo's creations for the Wii, or are you just trying to troll me?

I was a bit worried about that too. But it looks like WiiWare is going to be launched in Australia in May, and there's no real reason not to have the same titles as the US. Not that that's ever stopped games companies before.

But even if it's not released here, the PC version should still be downloadable.

If it's not available for the Wii at the same time as the US, I'm going to imagine strangling someone.

That really explains the delay on the Quote, Fanstuff, and Sketchbook bits. And a coupla small pieces I'd like to point out about the H*R universe in 3D: Strong Mad's nose still appears to be 2-dimensional and Homestar's head is vaguely symmetrical, but it doesn't matter anyway. There's a lot more to observe, like, for the first time, we might be able to see the exterior of house of the Brothers Strong!

Gahh, it's so exciting! I'm going to have to convince my brother to get this for his Wii. I hope the gameplay is actually awesome and not boring/too easy/too hard or anything like that.

Seeing as SBCG4AP is being created by TellTale games, it seems as though the game will be remarkably similar to the game Sam & Max.
I myself have played a couple of the episodes in the Sam & Max series, both of which were point and click adventure games (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point-and-click_adventure_game).
You can get the fourth episode in the Sam & Max game series for free via Steam. (http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=game&AppId=8230&cc=US)

Perhaps this is what SBCG4AP will be like. From the previews, it does look similar to the same gaming style of Sam & Max.

Strong Mad's nose is 2D until you get closer to a side view, and then it has depth. :) The game contains many cheats ( :cheatgrin: ) to keep the in-game 3D characters looking close to their Flash 2D counterparts regardless of the view. It's something we'll be refinining as we go on, as well.

There's a little bit of behind the scenes video of the game, including very unfinished footage from a very early build of the game, up on GameVideos. Note that it contains spoilers if anyone is worried about that!

That video is awesome, but I have one question: is the audio quality in the game really going to be that tinny/compressed, or was that just off-screen footage or something? It's kind of a stupid question, but with the 40 MB limit Nintendo has put out for WiiWare games, I can never be too certain.

They were filming the game off of a projector screen. The real game will sound much nicer (there will obviously be voice compression to some degree, but nothing approaching that level of crustiness --- unless you play your copy of the game by videotaping it off a projector screen and watching it later.)

Everytime I read about this game it just gets better and better, like it's already THE BEST GAME EVER!!! and it's sounding better, like "Oh, this is the best game ever, but... will it be the best game ever in 3 years? Better add some stuff!" :bubs:

Yeah, I have to agree that the most exciting aspect of this game is that we can see the layout of the various houses and what SB's house looks like from the outside!!! I've been waiting years to see that. Also I cant wait to see some of the mini things they said they have : making a tgs comic, retro games; the list goes on! Well, actually it ends there but still.

Oh yeah if they don't put Pom Pom in here there will be hell to pay.

Im really looking forward to this game. I originally thought that they should make a game disk with the wii games on it for teh wii for people who couldn't connect to the internet. but This is way better!

I am experiencing a bizzare mix of joy, hopefulness, happiness, anticipation, skepticism, and anger for it not being ON THE 360!!!

While most would see this game as cheap and underhanded, I see it as a huge milestone for the Brothers Chaps. It shows just how far Homestar Runner has come. I'm just praying it comes out for other consoles too, because I cannot afford a $300 Wii!

My only skepticism is how well it well translate into 3-D. Homestar is a cartoon that was meant for 2-D (namely Homestar and The Cheat's eye layout) but I'm not too worried. I shall just bask in the glorious achievement of the best internet flash cartoon ever!

Actually, it's $250. I guess it doesn't make much of a difference, though.

*wipes away joyous tear* This is prolly the best news I've heard from H*R! But, and I hate to throw a downer (shudders) might this mean a delay in updates on the site? One could forsee TBC getting busy with voicing the game and letting getting behind on posting new material. It's awesome to think that we will be able to interact with the Free Country USA gang in an new and amazing way, ah well, I guess we'll wait and see huh? so anywho, A+ on the ad-VER-tisment, A++++ on the prospect of the game, and a wait and see on the updates., oh did I mention \/\/00000O7!!!!1!!one!
