Strong Badia the Free (pre-release thread)

ITT: We talk about the next episode, Strong Badia the Free. I think they need to find some way to work The Cheat and Strong Sad into the story. The Thnikkaman, Trogdor, and characters from Sweet Cuppin' Cakes need to be in as well. So what do you guys want to see in the next episode?

I'd like it if telltale gave us some information on it since it's only gonna be a month, but the KoT is definatly gonna be a big part of it this time, and it seems that strong mad gets a better role than last time either. I also wanna be able to go into the "Purple room of doom and gloom". They're gonna have to put Eh Steve and the Cheat Commando's in there somehow.

POTENTIAL SPOILER:

IGN did an article on it, the story is that the KOT makes a tax on emails, so strong bad gets arrested and has to get loads of people to sign a treaty. Including homsar... :homsar:

Since Strong Bad has to convince people to join him I think we'll be seeing plenty of everyone.
We better see some Strong Sad, either way! I hate that he locked himself in his room thoughout the entire Homestar Ruiner episode.

Pretty curious about 3D Homsar. :homsar:

When telltale releases a screenshot of him, someone ought to post it here.

I'd by a Municipality T-shirt if it wasn't discontinued, too.

Also, Homsar needs to make a physical appearence... I don't know how, though.

Homsar does make a physical appearance. He's one of the people Strong Bad needs to win over.
IGN said as much, anyway.

Also, I agree. Municipality is awesome! I'm glad to see it return.

Maintaining a balance and not over-saturating any one element or character is a big goal with the games. Having a huge Homsar appearance in every episode, for instance, would be really odd, just as having all of the characters feature in starring roles every month would be weird. Much like the cartoons on the site, sometimes you'll see a game that has a lot of Strong Sad, or reveals some new weird aspect of Coach Z's horrible life or whatever, and then next time that character might pop in for a line or two, or have a small sub-thread, or not even be there.

I agree, but about the Pooper Trooper image... Did he jump up, through the window or something?

Also, The Cheat seems to have some more frequent appearences in this one, plus there's Club Technochocolate.

We've released some new screenshots and a video (which you may have already seen if you played Homestar Ruiner) here.

Also, that IGN preview reveals a few more surprises than I would have liked (as previews often do

This is very true. I chose to skim the preview and still stumbled upon more info than I bargained for.

Eh he looks fine to me. Maybe make his face a bit wider but other than that that it looks fine. I just hope that he acts like a total idiot in the game, and HOPEFULLY actually contributes to the story unlike the blubbo whale in the last game. HOMSAR IS BOS! :homsar:

AN EDIT: If I'm not mistaken, the room in Strong Sad's room looks like a bathroom. If it is indeed, then I'm mighty concerned as they would have then both left out Strong Mad's room (Seen in Jibblies two, Bottom Ten, And I think Sick Day.)
And also the cheat's computer room.

Well, how'd you expect him to look? Frankly, I think they did a decent job considering how he looks.

This is what I feared. Like The Cheat, Homsar is a 3 dimensional impossibility and, like The Cheat, he didn't come out too fine.
It could've been worse, though. And it couldn't have been much better, considering what they had to work with...

Strong Mad's and Strong Bad's bed rooms are probably located south of Strong Sad's room, where the camera is located.
The Cheat has a laptop, so I think his "computer room" might be the living room.

Which is always a good thing if the first was awesome.

Maybe Strong Mad lives in a shed. For no apparent reason.

Also, I personally like Homsar's 3D design. I think it just looks odd here because of the position of his legs/feet, since he's floating. Heck, I'm more interested with how they'll pull off his "oooooo" mouth.

You got to go in his room in the "Badly Acted" Tutorial.

By seeing the pic on the Telltale homepage, COLONEL HOMESTAR RUNNER IS BACK! Does this mean the whole of the Homestarmy is, too? And what about Benedetto? Oh, man, I hope! And I hope that this one is better than Homestar Ruiner, and by that I mean longer, bugs squashed (preferably the widescreen wii ones) and a better videlectrix game. Oh, and The Cheat with a bigger role. He seemed...underappreciated in Ruiner.
