G4 tv has the first chapter of a behind the scenes documentary we've been working on, chronicling the true story behind the making of SBCG4AP. Thought you guys might want to check it out.

That was a bit too intro-y for me. I hope to see the real meat of this series soon.

I love behind the scenes, development-type stuff!

Hey just wanted to note that the Behind the Bad Chapter 3 "Real World Reference" pointing to the Half Life 2 crowbar sound is inaccurate. That sound effect is actually a standard off-the-shelf library sound which our sound guys pulled for us along with a zillion other clunking sounds. It's apparently a very standard go-to library that a lot of game companies (including Valve) pull from. In it you can also find the same ominous raven kawing noises used in every cemetary in every movie, as well as the hawk cry used in every desert scene in everything ever. (And also the sound the doors make when they open in Doom and Doom 2.) So, while we admittedly said that we wanted the Poopsmith's bat to be reminiscent of the extreme gross clunk the Scout's bat makes in Team Fortress 2, we didn't deliberately pull the same sound file from a Valve game out of the library.
