well, there are 12 characters, so if each of them had a plot that took up about 10 minutes of the film, it wold be 2 hours, while still having the "Short toon" feel to it. That might work. Oh, and it would have to have at least one scene of Sweet Cuppin' Cakes, Teen Girl Squad, Cheat Commandoes, :marzi: answering Machine, and SBemails in it. And Stinkoman and The Homestar Runner would be in it too. Actually, that would be too long. So no, this is a bad idea.

They could do that, but that'd just be like watching 12 entirely separate toons in succession. Which we can already do, so really all we'd get is having to wait frickin' ages and then getting 12 toons at once.

I agree. Just make 12 different toons so that we aren't sitting through hours of 12 toons cluttered together.

While it would be cool if they made a movie, I'm pretty sure they couldn't do it without jumping the shark so no, they shouldn't. However, I voted yes because if they did, I would still go see it :p .

I admit, at first the thought of a HR movie sounded kinda fun. But the more I think about it, the more I cringe whenever I hear someone say, "it'll be the best thing ever!!!!!1111!!!11!!"

No, I honestly think it would be a big mistake...ESPECIALLY if they put it in the theaters. ::shudder:: :eekdance: Even a half hour toon would be pushing it. (Though I'm sure it could be pulled off) Maybe if they split it into different parts it would be better w/o the risk of it being too much.

Besides, making a full 2 hour movie would just be soooo, for lack of a better word, monotonous and I dare say boring. The character development would be kinda interesting (which may or may not be a good thing)...but it would get very cliche VERY fast and pretty much ruin their charm.

Yes, I agree with what everyone else has said, HR is not altered by what what the media wants and that's a major part of its charm. It would be majorly jumping the shark (which is an understatement if you ask me) if they did that and I think TBC realized that a long time ago.

(sry I'm new. I hope I'm not over stepping my boundries by posting this)

I'd vote no but IF they did I wouldn't expect a big budget theater movie. I'd like to see just a 30 minute movie-ish cartoon to be sold on DVD in the store. As for a plot I have my ideas but I'm sure I'd like anything The Brothers Chap think up so it dosent really matter to me cuz they havent let me down once. But they said they wont and I wouldnt want them doing something they dont want to do. Plus to me the whole website is kinda like a never ending movie in a way.

Nah, you're not over-stepping anything. You're *supposed* to post, remember? :p

I still don't think that a movie would work out if they did anything less than sheer epic that this world has yet t have witnessed, and I doubt that the site could recover from that. I like how they manage homestar these days, it works out quite nicely for them and for us.

TBC should definately not make a HSR movie. The whole series would jump the shark.

This is actually a great idea! With the 10+ years of success, homestarrunner.com definitely needs a chance to hit the silver screen. Although it would take lots of hard work, after SBCG4AP, they could easily make a movie. However, I suggest that telltale games helps them, just like they did in the videogame, to make a feature-length film. I think it would be a success with fans old and new, and probably sell as a blockbuster. To make it a movie worth watching, however, there should be more action and danger. Instead of light-hearted funny gags, the gang should be keeping us on the edge of our seats, thrilling to see what will happen next. With 15 years upon us since that armless white guy was first drawn, it's about time. Let's look back. Homestar Runner is:
A Children's Book
A Web Cartoon
A Videogame,
and now it should be a movie!

with a fixed story, just a bit fun, so i

With a long story, like... How if
Homsar was missing?
Or another character.
And there should have cry scenes...
Dating scenes, email scenes,
Funny Scenes, and everything a
normal "cartoon-movie" should be,
like looney tunes back in action or
piglet's big movie, or tom and jerry,
etc. etc. etc. crap. crap crap.
so and so.
