i agree. they like really weird refrences in these toons. and the idea of SB as a wrestler is okay, but he's already a wrestler, and always has been. plus, what luchadore would go as an american wrestler? luchadores= waaay cooler.

i like strong bad's apparent theme of miscue costumes, and i think sephiroth would be really... awkward. and probably not terribly funny. i mean the guy goes as carmen miranda/san diego! i really like Coach Z as MC hammer. and the KoT as chef boyardee would be pretty cool, too.

Also, I think a few of these choices, though they may seem cool, are still too mainstream for TBC, especially Coach Z as Eminem.

Well, what kind of unpredictable costumes do you think they might pick?

If there was a music-related episode, this is who everyone should be:

:hr: as Billy Joe Armstrong
:sb: as Gene Simmons
 as Alice Cooper
:bubs: as George Micheals
:coachz: as Weird Al Yankovic
:marzi: as Courtney Love
:homsar: as Micheal Jackson

All I can think of for now but I'll edit when I get some new ideas

Can we please wait until August '07 shows up? It's still kinda too early to think about the next Halloween toon.
Just keep in mind that these characters will most likely be the following:
Homestar: a character between the ages of 15 and 30
Pom Pom: someone who is somewhat big-bodied and cool
Strong Bad: someone whose personality goes well with him
Strong Sad: (same goes with above)
Strong Mad: (ditto)
The Cheat: a short-sized creature/person
Marzipan: either a woman (Hween '00, '02, '03, & '06)/man (Hween '01, '04, & '05) with a matching personality
Coach Z: an African American rapper (I don't mean to brag really)
Bubs: a character whose physical and/or mental appearance speaks for itself
The King of Town: either a recognizable icon or a character with a white beard and/or mustache
The Poopsmith: either cool/animated or anything that is uncommon today

As for Homsar, he might dress up as someone whose appearance might make you laugh your pants off. Who knows?

I think most of my possibilities fit your requirements. And it's NEVER too early to talk about the future. Maybe you could use your requirements to make a list of your own.

Ok. My Ideas are:
Homestar Runner Should be Collin Machre from Whose line
Strong Bad Should be lazy this year and be Jack Black in Nacho Libre
Strong Mad Should be the Wardrobe in Narnia
Strong Sad Should be Al Gore
The Cheat Should be Gir
Bubs Should be General Grvious (Did I spell that right?)
Coach Z Should be Xzibit
Marzipan Should be a mop. She looks like one, right?
Pom Pom Should be a Koosh Ball
The King of Town Should be the Burger king
The Poopsmith Should be Freddy Kreuger
Homsar Should be himself with a bunch of popcicle sticks glued to his right leg and wrapped in towels with "Wear A Bikini!" on them.

Some suggestions:

Homestar as Screech from "Saved By the Bell"
Marzipan as Sally from "The Nightmare Before Christmas"
Pom-Pom as one of the Blues Brothers (was Jake the fat guy, or Elwood?)
Strong Bad as Ozzy Osbourne
Strong Mad as The Terminator
Strong Sad as Tik-Tok of Oz
Bubs as Dr. Teeth from "The Muppet Show"
Coach Z as Eminem
The King of Town as The King of All Cosmos from "Katamari Damacy"
The Poopsmith as Rob Rescueman from "Twice Upon A Time"
Homsar as The Great Gazoo from "The Flintstones"

I... I may have just died. That is possibly the greatest idea I have ever heard. Er, read.

And I agree with Marzipan as Sinaed O'Conner.

While way too mainstream, that'd be great to see. Though it'd be hard for him to give someone food. I mean, he'd probably eat it on them.

If anyone were to be Dave Grohl (90's, long-haired Nirvana edition or current Foo Fighters edition are both fine), I'd be extremely happy. XD

But I agree with the Weird Al "Fat" video costume idea for Pom-Pom.

Strong Mad should be Marcus from Gears of War, but the games too new to have a costume for it.

What about The Cheat? Maybe Strong Sad should be Chris Frantz. The Cheat could be Piglet (the Disney version). And Jake Blues is the fatter one, played by John Belushi; Elwood is played by Dan Akroyd.

Dang, forgot The Cheat. Okay, how about... um... The Cheshire Cat? From Alice's Adventures in Wonderland?

Actually, if that was ever used, it would be Coach Z's costume. It was going to be a costume for Coach Z, but it was then abandoned.

I know this because of the H*R Wiki. Yay, useless knowledge.

You all seem to be thinking of charachters or people that haven't really aged, and the chapmen think of costume ideas that have sort of been grounded into the time period of 50's-80's. So I don't know about derek jeter, or cosmo kramer, or kot as burger king.

Thats only for real-life people. Usually fictional characters can be much closer to the present. (Like Mario.)

Okay, so after reading what Charlie Jr. wrote about how each character is approached for Halloween costumes, here's an updated list that tries to follow said approaches as closely as possible:

:hr: as Ferris Bueller
:sb: as Gene Simmons
:cheat: as The Great Gazoo
:sm: as Derek Jeter (of the NY Yankees)
 as Sean Nelson (from the band Harvey Danger)
:pom: as Norm Peterson
:marzi: as Liz Simcock (a folk singer)
:coachz: as Darryl McDaniels (aka DMC)
:bubs: as Mr. T
:kot: as Franken-Berry
:poop: as a Cyberman (from Dr. Who)
:homsar: as Garth Algar (Easter egg)
:senor: as Apu Nahasapeemapetilon (2nd Easter egg)

This could actually mark the second time since 3 Times Halloween Funjob in which another character besides Homsar is seen in an Easter egg. Like Stinkoman from that toon, Senor Cardgage is a Strong Bad variation. Coincidence? I should say not.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and here is a picture of what Strong Bad and his posse would look like dressed up in their respective Halloween costumes I mentioned in the above list. And there's also an image of Senor Cardgage's Halloween costume here as well.

What do you think?

I'm glad you liked it. But what did you think of the picture? The tongue on Strong Bad's mouth is fake. It's actually duct-taped to his face (the tape is behind his tongue; hence the small gray stripe).

Or some sort of NASCAR driver (Tony Stewart would be funny, using "Stubbled Homestar").

I just decided to create pictures showing all the characters in their Halloween costumes I thought up in the above list in Post 52. I started with Strong Bad's posse and Senor Cardgage. Anyway, look for more pictures to come ASAP.
