That's true Dave. It's partly how I got a couple of people addicted to the site.

And now, a TOTPD :eekdance:

That IS true. Watching the intro produces more intruge than anything else (maybe TROGDOR!! works too.)

Actually, the intro put me off Homestar when I first found it, it wasn't funny. The whole kids singing thing made me think it was a kiddie site.

Hmmm, the intro intro was not for me either.

I much prefer Homestar stuffing up his lines in various fashions... :hr:

When I first came to the site, watching the intro was mandatory. There was no nice "come on in" or "watch intro" selector. And my initial reaction to the intro was something along the lines of "what?"

Of course, this produced intrigue and I started watching toons and, well, a couple years later I'm still looking at the site.

It's all right, but I prefer the intro featuring all of the characters, Homestar running on a bunch of stars, and the text "everybody, everybody" written in cursive letters.

I can't help but think that Homestar's saying, "Everybody, I be you leader."

Yeah, with Homestar, it's hard to distinguish what he says sometimes.

hmm, that's ok, but the best intro in my opinion, is the old intro with the old homestar running on the hills.... eh, its in the museum... i wish it was the actual inro, the kiddies singing "evrybody evrybody" makes the site look babyish...kinda

(my first post... ever...)

Was there ever a time, like in 2003, when the intro was automatically played everytime you went onto the site?

I do believe so. Then they put the 'go on in' link up later.

That's my favorite intro, actually. I'd rather TBC used it instead of the one that's on the website now. I haven't seen it in a while, so I can't really comment on anything specific I liked about it except that I enjoyed seeing all the characters recognized along with Homestar. I guess it's just a personal preference.

That First Time Here? video is hilarious! I loved it! But the Everybody! Everybody! Intro is very scary. It haunts my dreams.

It's not scary as much a it's annoying. That's why I almost always skip it.

Its more funny to watch AFTER you've become acquainted with Homestar Runner. Then its funny just to see him say everybody over and over again. You can also use it to convince your parents its a nice website and they should let you watch it. (my mom had a bad reaction to dragon)

I don't watch the intro, but I do watch the welcome speech now and again. One of my favorite things on the site is when captions and text pops up on the screen when someone says something random (the "what the?" in animal is a good example), so when Homestar launches "I'm Homestar, and this is a website!" I lose it.

I just think they should update Strong Bad's interruption a little. Put a different game, a different toon, fix the email graphic and re-record him so he has the same voice as the new stuff.

I watch the intro rarely; I prefer the older one with Homestar running by the silhouettes of all the characters.

I do enjoy the First Time Here video every now and again, but I agree it should probably be updated. You know, link to the Trogdor game or the Stinkoman game; that'll get 'em hooked!

I watch the info very rarely, usually only to check my speakers.

it's boring for me unless i'm in a really bored mood....even then it's pretty mediocre compared to the rest of the site..they should change it up..or make a new one....
