All of these ideas are really good.
But saying them pretty much guarantees that they won't be used.
Keep going and there won't be any good ones left for TBC to use!

So are you saying we should stop coming up with ideas right now?

Umm...the picture is well done and everything but the Apu and Senor Cardgage thing isn't really a good mix in my view. And Apu and Derek Jeter seem too recent to base a costume on, but I think Strongbad and The cheat have some mileage in those costumes, I could see them in those.

in short...rating: 2/4 are good, but don't let it discourage you, you really have some good visualisation.

Well, how recent were William "Refrigerator" Perry and Ben Wallace? Because Strong Mad dressed up as those guys, too, and I doubt they're any more recent than Derek Jeter is. I think he dressed up like this every three years since 2001... dressed up as a sports athlete, I mean. So I think it would make sense if he dressed up as an athlete again this year. Thanks. Too bad the chances of these costumes being used in Halloween toons are slight to impossible.

I have now added two more of my Halloween costumes from my latest costume list: Bubs as Mr. T and Coach Z as Darryl McDaniels:

What do you think?

I drew The Cheat as the Great Gazoo (from "The Flintstones"), not Marvin the Martian. I can just see the ending scene in this toon I thought up: click on The Cheat and you'll get this line of dialogue:

HOMESTAR: Hey, The Cheat, what are you, Mawvin the Mawtian or somethin'?
THE CHEAT: (irritated The Cheat noises)

And buhubs, you never did tell me your responses to my designs of Bubs and Coach Z as Mr. T and Darryl McDaniels, respectively.

Now here's the next set of Halloween costumes I've thought up. This time, it's Strong Sad (as Sean Nelson from the band Harvey Danger), Homsar (as Garth Algar) and Marzipan (as British folk singer Liz Simcock). What do you think?

And buhubs, why haven't you responded to my last set of costumes?

How about instead of just constantly coming with ideas of who to come up with, why not pick your set and then draw pictures of them, showing what they might look like? That's what I'm doing. Anyway, here are my first three pictures, each showing various characters in proposed costumes. I haven't got all the characters yet, but here's what I do have:

1. http://img337.imageshack.us/my.php?image=stronghalloween07se7.jpg: STRONG BAD as Gene Simmons, THE CHEAT as the Great Gazoo, STRONG MAD as Derek Jeter (captain of the NY Yankees) and SENOR CARDGAGE as Apu Nahasapeemapetilon (who in my Halloween toon would be seen only in an Easter egg like Homsar, kinda like how Stinkoman is in an Easter egg in 3 Times Halloween Funjob)

2. http://img132.imageshack.us/my.php?image=07vc5.jpg: BUBS as Mr. T and COACH Z as Darryl McDaniels (aka DMC).

3. http://img148.imageshack.us/my.php?image=homestarhalloween07oe4.jpg: STRONG SAD as Sean Nelson (from the band Harvey Danger), HOMSAR as Garth Algar and MARZIPAN as Liz Simcock (a British folk singer).

Hope this helps. I will put up the rest of the characters soon... ;)

I just put my latest Halloween costumes picture. This time it features The King of Town as cereal character, Franken-berry, and the Poopsmith as a Cyberman, a race of cyborg villains of Dr. Who fame. Anyway, here's the picture: Image

And now here's the last two Halloween costumes: Homestar as Ferris Bueller and Pom Pom as Norm Peterson (George Wendt's character on "Cheers"). Here's the image: Image

Ahahah, man, I came up with the idea of Homestar dressing up as jack Skellington from "The Nightmare before Christmas" months ago before the '06 toon came out XD I mean, if the KOT dressed up as mayor, why not? XD

Admit it, you can imagine HR dressed as Jack Skellington ;3

And now here is a link to all the H*R characters in my choices of Halloween costume selections!! Click here to view: http://img144.imageshack.us/my.php?image=homestarhalloween07xi0.jpg.

You may want to click on the image again to expand it to its original size.

What do you think? Huh?

Wasn't Strong Sad already a rock legend guy? In the halloween where he is doing haikus. That one was interesting. Still, he's been mostly pop and rock artists, why not turn him into Shakespeare? Or maybe Edgar Allen Poe. That would be awesome!

I'm sure you all remember my sick obession with Strong Bad as Jessica Rabbit...(ITMUSTHAPPENITMUST).

I freaking suck at thinking these up. But for some reason I really want to see Strong Mad as Animal. Yannoy, from the Muppets. x3

And the Cheat should totally be a popple. Popples = fackin' love.

The Cheat as a popple would be good, too. What colors would he have?

He'd probably be Potato Chip Popple 'cause she's the only yellow one. And also she's retarded cute.

YEAH I'M SUCH A NERD THAT I KNOW THEIR NAMES.

Then there would be yet another case of someone dressing up as someone from the opposite sex for Halloween! Here's a list of others who have cross-dressed for All Hallow's Eve:

    Strong Bad
  • Carmen Miranda (2000)
  • Carmen Sandiego (2001)

    Marzipan
  • Joey Ramone (2001)
  • Willie Nelson (2004)
  • Beaker (2005)

    Coach Z
  • Queen Latifah (2006)

So if The Cheat cross-dressed for Halloween, it's definitely not the first time someone did that.

Well, here's a list of all the Halloween costume possibilities that have been rejected:

:hr: as Hellboy
:hr: as Travis Bickle
 as an Oompa Loompa
:pom: as Comic Book Guy
:pom: as Jonas Grumby (AKA the Skipper from "Gilligan's Island")
:marzi: as Trixie (from "Speed Racer")
:marzi: as Marge Simpson
:marzi: as Velma Dinkley
:coachz: as Doug McKenzie
:coachz: as The Noid

So we know for certain that there will be no costumes for these guys anytime soon.

I don't know about you guys, but I am really hoping somebody is gonna dress up as a ghostbuster...

Anything Star Trek would be cool too of course, but I'm sure that's way too mainstream for TBC to tackle. (*cough* b'sides I got my kicks off dressin up Homestar in Star Trek gear already)

I suppose they'd do things they know they aren't gonna get sued for, for one thing.

OMG. WHAT ABOUT SOMEBODY OFF EUREKA'S CASTLE. I bet nobody knows what I am talking about. And that show, despite being kiddy, was awesome man. Awesome. It had a dragon for crying out loud. Just don't make me watch it now that I'm not seven anymore, for it will ruin my childhood memories.

What are some examples of things that the Bros. Chaps think are too mainstream, anyway?

And technically, someone already dressed up as a Ghostbusters character: namely, Pom Pom as Mr. Stay-Puft, the Marshmallow Man.

I think we should ignore the concept of costumes for the moment now and focus on what kind of possible plots the next H'ween toon could have. Let's exhaust all the ones that have been done first, though:

  • Scary stories (Homestarloween Party)
  • Trick-or-treating (The House That Gave Sucky Treats)
  • Pumpkin carving contest (Pumpkin Carve-nival)
  • Reviving a dead being (3 Times Halloween Funjob)
  • Scaring someone; Halloween party (Halloween Fairstival)
  • Gathering potion ingredients (Halloween Potion-ma-jig)
  • Finding Halloween Night (Happy Hallow-day)

Now, that list above mentions all the Halloween plots that have been used. So now, the question is, what kinds of plots can be used next?

If I could draw, I would do this.
