I came to a weird realisation uppon watching this again. Many of homestars lines are Strong Bad jokes. Really, watch it again and pretend its a SBemail with Strong Bads voice insted of Homestars. Whatching it this way made it seem more funny to me cause Homestar saying these things dosen't seem right.
It's not that they're Strong Bad jokes per-say, but with two email show written by the same person, some of one's style is going to go into the other. Rather than some of the lines being things Strong Bad could actually say, they are the kinds of things that the Chapmans would say THROUGH Strong Bad. It's only natural that they do the same through their current email avatar, Homestar. Homestar has also shown how he can reach territory Strong Bad can't, i.e. he has a girlfriend and can directly relate to the viewer about it, where as Strong Bad would just either have to skip over that element of humor entirely, or BS about his "super hawt girlfriend who was kidnapped by a two-headed Snaggle-toothed Ogre". There is also the personality of the Email Avatar that can allow for great humor variation. Stuff like the "cow clips" are something that only Homestar could birth. Strong Bad would be mainly limited to not knowing what they are called. That is the beauty of hremails. They open new humor territory, which is one of the things I enjoy most about them so far. Not that they are all stellar. The first one was mixed. But it was already funnier than the first SBEmails and some of the modern SBEmails. This one really shows what potential the series could have if it is continued. Though I also want is some more Answering Machines. I would be intrigued to see Strong Bad try to return to emails, though at this point I would allow him to retire, if only so he could go out only slightly beyond his peek so that he may be fondly remembered. I think the death of both papers could be sign towards his end. But alas, it is entirely possible that next Monday Strong Bad will return and Homestar will have a premature retirement. Perhaps, however, Hremails will reach number 200(In amount, not necessarily in number), and Homestar will pass the torch along to someone else.
