Totally.

My "bottom ten" (in a loving way) for tastiest tidbits here:
10) "... the place where the tropical breezes bloooo<bubble>ooowww<bubble>!"
9) Finally, [s]The[/s] Marzipan dates around.
8) Strong Bad: actually evil for once = wanting to actually kill them.
7) Marzi's such a hippi: open relationship indeed.
6) Coach Z -- motherly as ever.
5) Fox's mother = Foxy mama.
4) "The cheating on me..."
[EDIT]: 3a) Teh Cheat's suave mustachio (for Sbemailman and TehAshleyWool)
3) "Oh, hello, ungodly couple." ouch.
2) "Mr. Smarty Spots"!
1) "The disgust ... it won't wash off!"

Finally, we now know what all the "ladiesmen" really do with their time:

They sit around, drink beer and grouse about their relationships!

I love seeing SB and HSR working together. I think SB was mad b/c the Cheat is supposed to be his pet, not some treasonous ladies man. I still hold that Bubs and Coach Z are identical twins, like Kermit and Fozzie. Z just...likes...wearing...curlers.

Best 'toon I've seen since "A Folky Tale". That one's always been my favorite, but I like this one now, as well. I just loved that they took a relationship that had only been strongly alluded to (The Cheat and Marzipan's) and made it hte subject of a whole 'toon.

Huh, I liked it a lot. Lots of gags. Sure, it makes it cheesy, but it is neat to have it like this.

I rather like the play on words "L'est Stand". And the bit of insight in toon.

Like the music quite a bit as well.

Found it rather funny how the Cheat holds out his arm for Marzipan to take.

Brilliant, the hardest I have laughed at a HSR toon in a while.

I actually created an account because I was disappointed that neither the wiki or the forum had picked up on the "The Cure - Boys Don't Cry" poster in the background of 's room.

Anybody?

The big-eyed Homestar was perhaps the most amusing since the King of Town's in KOT's VOQPCS. Do you suppose it would be twice as funny if Strong Bad and Coach Z had their eyes enlarged while going "You WHAT?!" just like Homestar? Just thought I'd share my thoughts.
And even though at times when Strong Bad is angry, he never looks angry, but the 'toon was still enjoyable.

Funnily enough, I never noticed Homestar going bug-eyed until I rewatched this.

I liked it, but Homestar and Strong Bad's attempts in the restaurant weren't really that...attempty? And the only thing that really made me laugh was that last scene with Coach Z ^_~

Am I really the only one who thought Strong Bad seemed like he was jealous of the Cheat because Strong Bad harbors a certain affection for Marzipan?

Man, I love italics.

Oh geez. There's really only three words for this toon: Wow. Wow. WOW.

Marzipan dating the Cheat, never saw that coming. She's open-minded like that I guess. Some real Brian Griffin stuff going on there, yessir. :D Strong Bad winding up in Mazipan's house, the Italian chef impression, and the Strong Badian national anthem all owned.

5/5. Because it really has been awhile since there's been a really good "full-length" toon on the site.

You know, I try not to go overboard with the hyperbole, and I don't post here much and when I did I tried to keep things conservative, but that was perfect. That was simply perfect. It blew me away. In particular, the oft-mentioned Coach Z bit right at the end was like getting punched in the face by laughter.

I mean, seriously. This toon just killed me. Strong Bad and Homestar singing the national anthem as they went down with their cardboard ship. Snails. Homestar Runner reverting to "amusingly inept" rather than just "utterly unaware of his surroundings" and setting aside his differences with Strong Bad to work towards a common goal. The Cheat's horrible faux moustache. I could keep going all day and write a post longer than the actual toon was. I feel like running through a dewy meadow laughing in glee.

Well, in my theory, Strong Bad actually likes Marzipan, and was just jealous of The Cheat.

I should probably contribute to the discussion... Someone on the talk page of the wiki page for this article thought that this toon was the first example of character development on homestarrunner.com. What do you guys think?

I'm leaning heavily towards "no", for a few reasons. One, considering that H*R has a proud history of no real "arc"s to speak of beyond lots of DNA evidence, we should err on the side of caution. Two, "Strong Bad doesn't like Marzipan, wants to hang out with the Cheat, and is jealous that the Cheat is hanging out with Marzipan rather than him" is a far simpler explanation. Three, it's too early to tell if the characters have actually changed for obvious reasons. Four, there's been far more substantive "development" already, like Homestar Runner being a student in early stuff (I think Bronco Trolleys were an "after-school snack", for instance) to now being a white-collar worker.

The Cheat is Strong Bad's pet! Of course he's a lttle put off by the fact that his pet is dating a weird broom lady!

Well, at Strong Bads garage sale, Coach Z was grabbing the "Great for baby" items. Perhaps, Bubs is the possible father. Of what though, I have no idea.

hmmm...

i didn't read through all of the posts, but i gotta say that marzipan and the cheat dating is just a really weird direction that the brother chaps are going towards. maybe i'm just a sentimentalist, reminiscing of the old days of simpler gimmicks to entertain the masses (like duck pond, tape leg, and melonade).

i'd think if marzipan would date anyone, wouldn't it be pom pom, the supposed stud of the group?

Character development in this toon? I'd actually say yes. You get to see sides with some of the main characters you've never seen before. In my opinion the characters seem to be developing more and more as the years go by. I love it. It makes the Sbemails and toons that much more fun to watch.

Then again, I've always been a sucker for that kind of thing
