Cheat Commandos: JUST CHILL...TIL THE NEXT EPI-SNOWED

http://www.homestarrunner.com/ccdo6.html

I've always loved the Cheat Commandos toons, and this one continues the strong tradition, with a little fourth-wall shattering throw in for fun.

"It's too bad Gunhaver's on a secret mission to the moon for an undisclosed period of time, and that when he gets back his voice might have changed."

It had its flaws, but I still liked it. I thought the easter egg at the end was hillarious, though kinda creepy. (Why do they call them easter eggs?)

It didn't stick to the previous Cheat Commandos toons theme and in my opinion broke the fourth wall too much. Needless to say, I didn't think it was that funny. 2/5

Hate to have my first post be a negative one, but I thought my 2/5 needed explanation.

It definitely had its moments, but I didn't think in the grand scheme of the Homestar universe (not the one :ehsteve: exploded) it was all that special.

Without it, though, the website would be like a jigsaw puzzle of a beautiful girl with one piece missing. "WHERE'S THE NOSE?"

Yeah, this one focuses more on Crack Stuntman, so it doesn't really make this an eligible Cheat Commandos toon. That's also the reason I didn't like An Important Rap Song much. But, that's my opinion. :cheat: :cheat: :cheat: / :cheat: :cheat: :cheat: :cheat: :cheat:

I swear, Crack Stuntman is one of Homestar's most overused characters. Voice actors of real 1980s cartoons didn't get this much overexposure, did they?

Anyway, this toon was pretty good but I wish the Commandos would go back to tradition next time.

Crack has only been in like, three toons. You want overused, go talk to Homsar or Strong Bad.

This was the most amazing thing ever. The guy on the fanstuff that had a page consist of his posts entirely AND this as his avatar was pretty much the best thing I've ever heard.

The voice of Blue Laser Commander is freaky!

I loved how they made reality and the cartoon somehow mesh. I wanna be in it too!

5/5

Am I the only one who noticed that Crackatoge has his rhyming style back? His voice might be wrong, but his rhyming is awesome! Or at least more awesome than it was in Commandos in the Classroom and the Thanksgiving one.

Anyway, this cartoon was...... ok. I give it 3/5!

Crack Stuntman is definitely one of my favorite characters in all of H*R, but this episode of the Cheat Commandos just seemed a little out of character, both for him, and for the general Commandos style. I guess it's kind of evolved from being a clever parody on 80's cartoons into its own thing. Unless they're referring to something I'm unaware of.

Anyway, Crack seemed more selfish, less like the gung-ho patriot sort of character that he usually is. I always thought the joke was that he was essentially a lot like Gunhaver in personality, even though he couldn't be bothered to remember the name of the character, and didn't care about the show. For him, it was just a job, he came in and did his thing. Hearkens back to when cartoons were even less respected as a medium than they are now.

So for Crack to start making demands for Gunhaver and the story that are out of character for both of them seems a little odd. On the other hand... Finally knowing what Chimendez looks and sounds like? Awesome.

Yes, I know my name is PlaysetsandToysBuyer and that I've expressed enthusiasm for the Cheat Commandos beofore and that Commandos in the Classroom is one of my favorite things on the site and that I nearly fell out of my chair when I found out that there was a new episode, but somehow this one was a bit of a dissapointment. Is this the Cheat Commandos or the Crack Stuntman Show? Stop breaking the fourth wall and get on with the story! I miss all of the other charecters, especially Renoyld. I'm so depressed, I'm gonna go get teen pregnant!

(I did, however, appreciate the voice of Blue Lazor. So unexpected and so creepy!)

I'd give this one a 5/5. Crack stuntman rules, and is NOT overused. Underused I'd say. He is hilarious seeing how much of an idiot he is. STRONG BAD has gotten a bit overused by now. He's still funny, but it would be nice if other charactars could appear more often. I used to get quite ticked off at one time as I think they went for quite a few months of only releasing strong bad emails. Homsar, the KOT, PomPom, CRACK STUNTMAN, and the crew from Sweet Cuppin' Cakes are VERY underused in my opinion.

Back to the toon.
I laughed out loud MANY times in this, which is something that doesn't happen too often. Crack Stuntman did a marvelous job of ruining the cartoon, and both easter eggs were great!

Diaper biscuits! I didn't find this one very funny at all. I don't think the mixture of Crack Stuntman's world with the Cheat Commandos worked very well. The Cheat Commandos are funny by themselves, Crack Stuntman is funny by himself, but when you try to mix them, it just gets extremely confusing, and not very amusing. The only part I found really funny was the "R-r-r-r-rock, r-r-r-rock on!" part.

Uh, WHAT? You have brain damage if you found the toon too confusing. What could be more amusing than an idiot absolutely wrecking the cartoon with irrelevant crap?
"HEY, I WAS JUST THINKING RIGHT HERE WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE FOR A CASINO OR A DINOSAUR TO HAPPEN!"
Genious!
That, and how the crap did you find the rrruh rruuuhh ruuhhh rock ruuhhh ruuhhh ruuhhh rock on thing funny? That almost made me give it a four out of five instead of a five. Saw NO humor in it...

Normally, I don't like Cheat Commandos, but this episode with that idiot Crack Stuntman was pretty funny.

Not confusing in the sense that I didn't understand, but just hard to believe. I suppose I don't like the addition of Crack Stuntman having his own persona intermingled with the Cheat Commandos. I enjoyed Cheat Commandos as it's own world, but when you start to draw attention to the fact that it's a cartoon (within a cartoon, no less), I think it loses its charm. Cheat Commandos is funny on its own, it doesn't need Crack Stuntman.

And I found the ending funny because...um...I found it funny?

I liked it. It was an interesting idea to have the voice actor influencing the story and stuff. Props for originality. But it wouldn't be funny again.

The reason I thought it was clever was that they'd been hinting for several toons that Crack Stuntman made up some of his lines as they went along, and with this toon they finally settled the issue.

Back when "An Important Rap Song" came out, there was discussion over whether Crack's lines were scripted or not:
It's dot com in the wiki discussion wrote:
I also don't think [Gunhaver's saying "riggidy-roll" instead of "rock rock on"] is a flub. You don't memorize lines for an animated show; you read them. Stuntman would have the copy in front of him. The only way a flub makes sense is if he was completely unwilling to record the correct line, and so the producers had no choice but to use the flub, animate his arms in a funny way as he said it, animate the other Commandos' reactions to it, and record Silent Rip's line (which could possibly have been an ad lib if the recording session included more than one voice actor, but still). I think it makes more sense simply to attribute it to Gunhaver, not Stuntman.
Man, I was way off on that one.
