Wouldn't have guessed a Homestar Strong Mad toon would be so entertaining.

I really liked it! When he said "oh, Im gonna have to call-" I thought oh great heres another marzipan/homestar joke, but when he opened the door to SM I laughed myself stupid! I personally felt the easter eggs were kinda weak, but thats my only compalint. Felt like they were just there to keep up the status quo of having easter eggs.

I loved nebulon appearing and the cinder blocks thing! and I cant get enough of SM's childish quips "can homestar come out and play?" and "aaaw, time to go?"

Heheh. That was a pretty good one. It reminded me of Those Darn Cousins a little.

Meh. It was kinda boring. But I liked the Nebulon and cinder block parts. And some other parts.

And the Bubs Easter egg.

3/5.

Exactly what I was thinking, and I'm happy they went with remaking concept and replacing the cousins with Strong Mad.

Only complaint was that it was not long enough, I would have happily enjoyed more of Homestar and Strong Mad play, no fool around, whatever. Maybe see them play video games or something.

Anyway great back to basics cartoon, and great use of the big guy :sm:.

5 outta 5. Get Well Soon Homestar, I want more shorts like that!

I liked how this toon had a lot of Homestar in it, but it was sad because Homestar got hurt :( It just made me want to kiss Homestar even more.

Yayyy! I get to comment on my first recent cartoon! I need to...save this for my scrapbook...or something.

:hr: :hr: :hr: :hr: :hr: / :sm: :sm: :sm: :sm: :sm: !

LOL:

"I'm having a relocation sale!" - :bubs: is just plain awesome
Strong Mad's first major role in a while
Homestar's cell phone (or was it a cell phone?)
Coach Z in juvenile prison- can he get any weirder?

Meh:

The easter eggs- I agree, they felt kinda mandatory
Beating up :hr:- it felt like a cheap laugh (except for the completely unexpected meteor!)

I love how TBC paired together two unique characters for this short; I wish that they did more of that.

This was pretty good. I laughed out loud when Strong Mad threw Bubs' Concession Stand at Homestar. 4/5.

I'm glad that the days I choose to check for updates in the morning are the days there actually is a new toon. I found this really funny; I laughed practically all the way through! Bubs's sale on badly beaten Homestars was hilarious. I wonder if my brother will like this toon...

Totally, man. I think this one succeeds so hard because they did something new with the characters they had interacting. And the angle's still open--basically all they tapped into was the vast discrepancy between Homestar's and Strong Mad's strength, and there's plenty more they could dig into!

Also I laughed out loud when Homestar blurted, "Federal prison?!" Completely in character for Bubs, but still surprised me. That's some quality humor!

TBC really need to do stuff like this more often. I really liked the part with Bubs.

Weird!

The last time I posted a lot I did most of it in the game forum. After returning after a long absence I've started the same trend again.

Anyways, back on topic.

This makes me laugh every time

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Uh, we don't really call it "playing" anymore, Strong Mad. It's more like hanging out, messing around, kicking back...

STRONG MAD: LET'S FOOL AROUND!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hm. Maybe not "fool around" either. Why don't we get down to business? Let's play. Or, kick around. Whatever.

Yes, I enjoyed the "Let's fool around!" and the Bugs Bunny ref... It was a solid A-, I would've liked a scene of Pom Pom, and maybe what Marzi was up to.

New favorite line, and:
I think he finally gets his own cartoon, Cubeworld not needed!
The cinder blocks did a fairly good standin for the Cubeworld after all. :hr:

Homestar and Strong Mad are a pretty unlikely duo to star together in a short, but I have to say it was quite funny. It's nice to get away from the emails once in a while for stuff like this. I think H*R needs more shorts and toons.

My only complaint about the short—and it’s minor—is that it felt too short. I know it’s 2:46 long, but it felt like a minute-and-a-half, maybe. Anyway, on to buisness. Homestar’s 1980s cell brick phone was carried over from SBCGAP (not that I thought the game wouldn’t be canon); the “prison?!” lines; settling for Strong Mad and not Marzipan; playing [cinder] blocks; “catching” Bubs’ Concession Stand; Feathers & Cotton. It’s all so damn hilarious!

BTW it should be noted that this is indeed a very unique toon as Homestar actually played the full on straight man. And truly didn't do anything stupid (although I'm not sure how he couldn't have noticed that Strong Mad was throwing Bubs' Concession Stand). As I said before great cartoon, just too short.

Homestar Runner and Strong Mad remind me of Roger Rabbit and Baby Herman.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ap6VAu7qNM4

ie. One is a complete dump-for-brains and the other is somewhat child-like. What I'm trying to say is H*R and SM make a classic comedic duo in this short. Though it wasn't a hilarious jaunt throughout, this short did have its moments. I lol'd when H*R got a Bubs' Concession Stand to the face. Literally. LOL'D.

Could have been longer as well... The credits seemed unnecessary for such a short toon.

I thought this toon was very, very good! It had a funny, smart, and kooky style that was both unique and really entertaining. I don't recall a lot of Homestar & Strong Mad interactions in the past, so seeing them together was really entertaining. Plus, there were some genuinely laugh-out-loud moments in a couple spots - such as SM's introduction, and his hilarious "let's fool around" line. Good stuff - among the best on H*R, I think!
