The good times are not over!

I knew exactly what Homestar's sweater was when they cut to it, and I laughed so hard at the sight.

FINALLY A year of waiting and patience has brought us something. We finally have a toon with substance! So who else has watched it twice?

Oh snapskies.

It wasn't amazing, but at least it exists! Oh, and Homeschool! And The Hurricane! And the rest!

I liked the plot, and the fact that it focused on Homestar instead of Strong Bad. Plus Homsar at the end was great.

4/5'd!

Did you notice how it says "for real" when you move your mouse over the button on the main page? Nice.
I only watched the toon once yet, and I liked it. It didn't seem great, but good. I like the end and how Marzipan writes on to the table. Was Marzipan out of character, though? Something about her seemed unfamiliar, but maybe that's just because I havn't watched the toons for a while. Oh, and the Easter eggs were okay... not that funny to me, but nice to have them.

HOLY CRAP YES.

I laughed so much. And I think I might have cried a little. I mean, I'm skeptical as to whether or not this marks the true end of the hiatus, but it's definitely a sign that the good times are NOT over. And, well, Homestar in a mistletoe sweater. I think I can die happy now, as long as I'm saved by a mackerel.

And yeah, Marzy was a little different. Missy's voice acting has changed, maybe?

That was simply hilarious, and I couldn't be happier. I think Missy got more into the roll this time, Marzipan was different. I kinda like it.

Excellent toon.
:marzi: never sounded better. Good jorb, Missy.
Poor :homsar:
Not enough :poop: or :kot:
Loved the forgotten characters cameo.
Here's some snapshots that might make good wiki pics:(some might need to be cut down in size some, I just took a few sloppy screenshots)

4/5 A solid return! Something tells me the page title is coming from TBC themselves...

Question: Is the toon appearing SUPER HUGE to anybody else?

This is me right now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=velcw6PT050

Seriously, I would like to thank TBC for (don't call it a comeback) making a new toon. Odd that they would come back for Christmas instead of Halloween.

Oh man, I honestly didn't realize how much I missed Homestar Runner until watching this toon. The moment Homestar and Marzipan started talking I got the biggest, stupidest grin on my face. It's funny, because a few hours ago I was reading the wiki for the first time in a while and was seriously considering giving up on HR altogether. All of those months waiting and waiting, and now with the release of this one cartoon it suddenly feels like they never left.

Thank you, Brothers Chaps. You've just made my entire week.

It really is a Decemberween Mackerel.

(By the way, the toon was also really big for me.)

The final scene is quite possibly the most tragic thing I've ever seen in H*R history. :(

I'm just glad to have them back. Senor was the star of this one, the others were OK, as usual the H-Star also shone. Great to see them back, hopefully a full return next year. Been missing my semi-weekly fix.

Hello-chi-minh, lulz.

I decided to take a look at the wiki before I went to bed. When I saw a new toon, I nearly crapped my pants. I have been waiting for months for a new toon, and even though it wasn't great, it was a huge step in the right direction and I cried tears of joy just to have a new toon at all. Whether or not this means the hiatus is over, I don't know. But if it IS finally over, I look forward to seeing what TBC has in store for us. ;)

Edit: No, I don't want that smiley to become an emoticon.

Welcome to Happyland! (is that the King of Town in that video?) :kot:

:senor: Interesting how characters other than Strong Bad address Senior Cardgage's existence more directly than ever before. I mean this would represent a first time for him as a character in alot of ways.

:homsar: And the whole theme of death kind of relates to what's been going on in the community in the past year. As does the title. After their being mostly gone for a year, it does seem like a mackerel/miracle that there's a full new cartoon all the sudden.

:poop: Still, I would feel better if there was some indication of whether this is a one-time thing or if they're going to resume updates regularly in any form, even if it was just one a month. I'd like to hear something like, "June sleepers will not be tolerated from this day forth!" or some other indication about plans for the future.

Here's hoping they get this WWW dot show, back on the road dot com!

Okay, but I'm still mad at them for ditching us for over a year. All they gotta do is keep a steady stream of updates for the rest of our lives, and I think I can probably forgive them. ;)

I give it a 4/5. Pretty good, pretty good. And of course it breaks a hiatus. But for the toon itself, pretty great.

Now we just gotta hope this means that the site's coma's not toast.

Awesome. I'm so glad to see a real update!

I really laughed when Homestar looked into the camera and said something along the lines of "No one is dying." I took it as a reference to the hiatus. I really liked the Easter Eggs too. I wouldn't QUITE take this as the end of the hiatus.. They'll most likely have a couple weeks break for Christmas. Hopefully, they'll come back next year with updates every couple of weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was made because the boys are on a break from their other projects. I hope I'm wrong, but it's likely that next year they'll get back to whatever they've been doing this year, and there will be no new HR for a while.

However, I hope this is the end of the hiatus. I really, REALLY do.
