Rumpelstiltskin reference? It's a 5/5 for me!

The Poop Smith picked the best costume ever.

"Good news, everyone! Turns out that wasn't ketchup in the ketchup fountain!" XD

I loved the costumes, especially Strong Mad as a Thwomp, The Poopsmith as Dr. Zoidberg, and Homsar as CAP-TAIN CAAAAVEMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!

Yo Gabba Gabba was the LAST thing I expected to be referenced directly in a Homestar Runner cartoon. Either way, it was hilarious.

Poopsmith's costume was the best though. I'm sure we could all agree on that.

XD I've seen the book cover :sb: referred to. He'd fit in well in Adams' galaxy.
Is  dead - or a vampire? Either way it'd explain a lot.
Wait - then how would he lead the forces fighting the zombie uprising?
*has had far too much sugar in the past 24 hours*
Overall pretty good; it was better the second time I saw it somehow.

Very good toon! Cool looking costumes. Just not quite as good as last year. 4/5

So, did anyone's costume predictions come true? (Man, I was SURE I had posted this before!)

A: I though this one was better than last year.
B: I totally predicted that the things coming out of Pom Pom's hands were pinkies.
I'm pretty sure I had a dream about a creepy blue Cheat covered in zippers with swirly eyes. Scared the crap out of me...

Those were the ones everyone knew, or at least were the most obvious.

This was a really good toon. My favorite costumes were for :sm: :sb: :kot: and :poop:, with honorable mentions for :cheat: and :homsar:.

Favorite Moments:
The opening credits
:hr: thinking he's in Disneyland
:sb:, :sm:, and :cheat: looking for a dead body to reanimate
:bubs: and :coachz:: Related?
:sad:: dead?
"The Cheat's got rabies again!" "The Cheat, you got rabies again?"
The Goblin's dance
The :kot: running off with the pickled monkey fingers

I give it a 10/10.

I thought this one was pretty good, but not super great. 7/10

3 Times Halloween Funjob is still tops.

Only recognized two costumes: Strong Mad (whom I guessed from the teaser) and the KoT. Guess I don't know my pop culture too well. If only the characters would dress up as, I dunno, Joseph Stalin or Albert Einstein. I'd recognize that sort of thing.

Generally good toon, though I didn't like it as much as Jibblies 2 or Potion-ma-jig. Still very enjoyable.

Is this the first year that two characters have dressed up as characters from the same thing? (SCUD)

Maybe I'm behind on my pop culture references, but I actually knew what most of the costumes were in this one! Especially because I'm a devoted fan of SCUD. So, references to SCUD: The Disposable Assassin, Futurama, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Nintendo and Hello Kitty all in one cartoon? I couldn't have asked for more!

Hecks no! In 2002, the King of Town was Mario and Bubs was Lou Albano, who had done the voice of Mario in that cartoon show based on the Mario games.

Then in 2006, not one, not two, but three characters dressed up as characters from Saturday Night Live: Strongs Bad and Sad and Homsar were Father Guido Sarducci, Tony Clifton and Ed Grimley, respectively.

I loved it. Especially Strong Bad's costume, it really made me laugh. And the goblin killing the sheep was probably one of the coolest scenes there have been on H*R so far. Also his new dance.
But I have to admit I had to check the wikipedia entry on Thwomp before I got that one, even though I had played at least three castle levels on Super Mario Brothers that very morning.

The plot, lines, and animation were fantastic.

LOL! :eekdance: And the easter egg with Homsar was freaking hilarious! :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: / :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: :homsar:

He was talking about rides at Walt Disney World, for the most part.
I'm not sure why, though.

Maybe Mike and Matt went down there for one of the Halloween parties.
Either that, or they were playing off of the castle thing (maybe Homestar saw the castle and thought they were at Disney World).

He also could have been talking about Disneyland, because he mentions Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, which is now found only at Disneyland. It was removed from Disney World in 1998.

Homsar's Easter egg was derivative. It was kind of clever, but derivative is the polar opposite of what his humor is like.

I really like how on this site, whenever any hint of a notable plot device pops up, it's absurd enough to shed doubt on it being true (in this case, Coach Z and Bubs being related.)

The Thwomp didn't appear until Super Mario Bros. 3.

Y' know, I think they should have made the evil sheep scene last longer. It appeared one second and was killed the next.

This seemed like a cross between the regular Halloween toons and Jibblies 2. But the sheep seemed like it was sorta thrown in there. Could've gone with that plot a bit more than they did.

I thought Strong Bad was Slimer from Ghostbusters throughout the course of the toon. But I had no idea what was up with the starry clothes.

And Strong Sad smiled. Is nobody going to mention that in the Wiki? Or is it just too common now for Strong Sad to smile at some point?

Characters I recognized:
:sm: :kot: :poop: :homsar:
Yup, just the easy characters.

Ditto, except replacing Homsar with Marzipan.

That's pretty low. Only Happy Hallowday has had fewer recognitions for me (Mario Batali, Frida Kahlo, Queen Latifah).
