Man the beginning of this was awesome. "Choco? Late? Choco-late?" Took me ages to get that joke lmao.
I'd agree with Omnisweater bout the implied violence, maybe it's just me but watching the toon instantly brought up the question "what if Homestar did land on that mattress?" x__x I guess it's nothing worse than some of those classic Looney Tunes, but none of the characters besides Homsar have really been subject to fatal violence.

I can't help but think that the toon's page title was directed at us, though...

It was soooooo random. Homestar actually intentionally put himself in danger? Wow. Just wow. How come Strong Bad ended up with the cup of jones when it was given to Coach Z?

5/5

5/5. Keep it up, TBC. This was brilliant.

I have to say, that particular segment was too Colbert-like for it to be a coincidence.
I realize that the Colbert special was supposed to be a direct parody, but did you see Bubs's hat?

OMG...best Decemberween special yet! Funny when Homestar sled down the hill! You expected something bad to happen, but a little bump and he survived! LOL! :p Also, I have ALSO noticed the lack of Easter Eggs, too...really bumming me out. I'm more bummed out about no SBmails in a while. Could the series be over?!?!?!?!

Cup of "jones", LOL! :hr: :hr: :hr: :sb: :cheat: / :hr: :hr: :hr: :sb: :cheat:

Hate to break it to you, but they've already mentioned in the DVD commentary that they won't be making any more Sbemails.

It was pretty good, I wasn't expecting another toon this week. I'm happy we weren't left with just last weeks Decemberween episode, which was a little lackluster.

It's always good when I giggle at the first line, and that sitcom-type bit was really nice and cheesy.

Homestar Runner is going the way of Family Guy, it started out promising, now its trying too hard to be funny and failing

I was actually hoping they'd quit Sbemails... Despite being superior to most other animations in the world, they were getting just a bit old, and now we have more time for some really great full-length 'toons (like this one right here).

Nice going, Ripberger. Now you've got Gross crying. As for the commentary, it is debatable whether or not the Brothers Chaps were being serious. They said it in a quite joking manner, and many agree that they WERE indeed only kidding. But let's not talk about this here anymore.

Three outta five for me. Twas a bit to unpredictable, and felt a lot shorter than it actually was. The badly made holiday special was funny, though.

EDIT: Four outta five, now that I watched it again. I guess I wasn't paying much attention the foist time.

It didn't have a cachy tune that you could annoy your half-friends with... but it made with the humor like hot cakes!
4/5, only 4 because hot jones shouldn't have RED sprinkles on it...

That was excellent. It had all the silliness and warm fuzziness of their older work, sprinkled with violence and older-audience jokes. Most love have!

What a great toon. Definatly lived up to expectations. And we got a few firsts:
:hr: being suicidal.
:marzi: 's parents.
:hr: WEARING PANTS!!!!
Also, isn't the atrocious food thing from Friends where Monica gets a review that says her food is 'atrocious' and Joey thinks it's really good? Does anyone elso recognise this? I wanted to check before I put it on the page.
Also, I'm afraid I didn't quite the Choco-late joke. Is it a reference to some American product I'm unaware of?

I disagree. What made this toon almost not suck?

Y'know, say what you will about SBEmails or series like Cheat Commandos, but I think TBC's "holiday special" toons are where they shine the most. The average everyday toon may or may not be outstandingly funny, but you can count on the Bros. to deliver a hit for the holidays.

Particularly liked the twist at the end, with Homestar having an actual sensible motivation for risking life and limb on a suicidal sled ride, and the references to SB's "parole" (Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon ref?). And the jones. I'm jonesin' for some jones.

I'd just like to say what some people might've already said (haven't read any posts yet) and say that this is probably my new favorite Decemberween toon. :)

Oh, something pointed out to me by the Wiki article. Hey, Brothers Chaps! You gotta show us Homestar wearing that sleeved sweater he got at the end of the toon! Maybe, I dunno, waving or juggling or something.

I loved this toon. It was a good story with a clever, unexpected twist at the end, and it made me laugh. 5/5

Just one thing though: there was a noticeable lack of . Doesn't seem right to me that he should be left out of the Decemberween toon.

Looking back at all the sbemails, they certainly have gone through a long lackluster period. I love them at first, but eventually they dwindle in humor. The toons, even the shorts, are much better than the emails.
