Wow, this animation is really different. And everyone gets a voice!
Almost.

I love how KoT says "Somebody get the door! I'll get it!" :p

I've watched it 3 times now, just for that part.

Amazing. It was a bit weirdly written and animated, but I think that was on purpose, since it was :kot: 's show. Matt and Mike also proved to us that they can do whatever voices they want if they feel like it.

Woah. I'm diggin' on the art style here. Also, that dragon is adorable. Too bad he got INSTANT DEATH'D!

Definitely on the strange side--perhaps a bit TOO strange--but I get a definite whiff of "Parodying inane children's cartoons" from this one, so it's understandable. I love all the voices--and it's the return of the Little Chef Guy and the Bishop!

Funniest part: "I'M A BAD HUSBAND AND FATHER! I AMOUNT TO NOTHING! WAAAH!"

That was...weird. Haha.

I don't know, I didn't like it too much. But perhaps that's because I don't really like the KOT all that much.

But I did think the knight hitting the "instant death" instead of "sanitize" was pretty funny. XD

I'm surprised! I don't like the KOT, but this was... Dare I say... SBLOUNSKCHEDABLE!?

I like how it was a parody of those Cartoon Network or more sitcom-like cartoons while still being funny in its own right. At least, it made me giggle a little bit.

Overall, it could definitely have been better, but it wasn't total phailure or anything. I'm just glad they DID it, at least. We were all kinda disappointed when it was a fake-out in "senior prom" or whateveritwascalled.

Yeah, I know. I wanted to see something good involving a character who we don't see much of.

It wasn't as funny as the last few cartoons have been, but it was pretty good. I liked everyone's voices, especially the knight's.

Eh. It made me chortle a few times, but not laugh out loud.

It was pretty good though. I liked the Knight instant deathing the dragon.

"Aw, man, this is gonna be so awesome!" (Or something to that effect...*waits for transcript*)

Never, ever in my years of watching Homestar Runner have I been disappointed in a cartoon. Until now. The style was way off, what with so many new speaking characters in one cartoon; the jokes were terrible; and the humour in the KOT's VOQPCS was that he really didn't get one, because, well, he's the King of Town. The one funny moment, I concede, was when he said "Somebody get the door! I'll get it!"

I think it was a good idea they axed the show before it started in favour of SBemail.

That was pretty funny.

Not one of the best, but cute in its own right.

If ever TBC needed Mike Rowe from Discovery's Dirty Jobs, it was in this toon. tee hee.

Ah. The *smell* of fresh TBC creation. Also, is it me or did the KOT get even fatter?

Anyway, I used to think that the the KOT's domestic dragon woulda been an interesting match up with ol' Troggie in a fight. Not thinkin' that much now; no, no, not at all actually. Trogdor doesn't have an instant death button -- or if he does, it would mean instant death to all those who *pushed* it.

Anyhow, I liked it; I like when they expand the HSR universe. And they've done it so carefully -- maintaining all the characters, even developing some of them.

aw, am I the only one who *loved* this? I like it when we get stuff that's unique and out of the ordinary. makes a refreshing change from just getting emails all the time (not that there's anything wrong with emails, of course, but I don't want to see one EVERY week). plus it's fun seeing the REALLY obscure minor characters get some actual screen time for a change (the Knight was great in this. XD "Watch this, it'll be awesome!")

It was... really cute. that's what it was :D very kids-book-ish, which I guess is what they were going for, and I liked the whole throwback to the style of the original KoT toon.

also, I LOVE the design of that dragon. very creepy, kinda mantis-like. but so easily killed. XD

Was the part where The King of Town and the Blacksmith play football against the Poopsmith and a shower supposed to make any sense at all? I don't get how it was supposed to get him smelling any better.

For me, "The Poopsmith, you smell like a crapsmith!" line was the greatest.

So much bathroom humor... so little time. I liked it.

I thought it was somewhat interesting. Something like what a Homestar Runner spin-off would be like if HSR were a tv show. I'd even like to see another "episode" in 5 or 6 months down the line.

Is this the first time the KOT hasn't instantly tried to eat something that he considers edible? The only other instance I can think of would be "Different Town" which wouldn't count since 1) The KOT doesn't like peas, and 2) That was only in Strong Bad's imagination.

Wow, this toon's great!

The KOT finally has problems with the enigmatic odor of the poopsmith!
And no Homestar or Strong Bad! (this isn't really a good thing, but then again, it ain't bad either)

The :kot: with his very own quite popular cartoon show? For real? It was weird but I liked it.

"For reals, this time!"

That was kinda amusing. The colorful, exaggerated art style definite supported the "inaine kids' show parody" vibe. And I like the voices for the Knight, the Blacksmith, the Bishop, and that little chef guy.

I feel sorry for that perfume, though. "I was a horrible husband and father! I watched too much sports!"

It makes no sense, but still is hilarious. Tis the way the KOT works.

Have your tried....

this was great, not because it was funny, but becaese it was different. it seems like TBC are saying that they can do whatever they want, even it is way off in left field

Exactly. I really like to see the Brothers try different things, since they have a really popular website and could easily slide into a rut. But I love it when they try different stuff like this.

And I thought it was funny too.

Exactly right. Funny as a parody, and interesting in just how weird it is. Doesn't have you laughing as you watch it, as much as thinking...what the--
