Requisite toon link: http://www.homestarrunner.com/careerday.html Main page said "New Short Soon", huh? Well, it apparently got promoted to "Big Toon" since then. Hey look, I post the new topic for the toon. Didn't think I'd ever get a chance to do this. (Bet I'll be too slow typing this out and somebody'll beat me to it.) Me? Yeah, I liked it. Strong Bad sure is going all out with this Space Captainface gig. Come to think of it, who did he hire to make his cartoon? That sure doesn't look powered by The Cheat. The one thing I didn't like is the throwing up part. It's been something I've seen too much of on TV lately, and it's not pleasant to see even in toon form. |

At least that's what happened to me last week. it's okay. Nothing special. Anyway, the toon. Not fantastic, Space Captainface actually bores me, mostly. Homestar as usual was pretty funny, and it's certainly been a while since Homsar has featured in, um, anything outside of SBCG4AP. But yeah, nothing on the other toons we've had this year. |

Umm...I think I liked it. I'm going to go ahead and watch it again before I rate it. *clicks link UPDATE: Okay, I give it a 4/5. Not because this toon was a favorite, but because I'm impressed with the new style of animation they used.  Then, it got extra points because the ending of this toon made me laugh. I wasn't expecting Strong Bad to crack up at all. XD

I quite liked it really, mainly because I've been waiting for a Space Captainface toon. The style was different, which is always good. And Homestar wondering about if SB would go boom if he went to the bathroom in his spacesuit was pretty nice.  /

Ah, the return of Marzipan's montesodium school. It was good seeing Homestar, Homsar, and Strong Mad behaving like children again. The SBASAF propaganda...er presentation was ok, but not much. Homsar's non-sequitur confused me (but isn't that what he's supposed to do? ) 3/5

I was surprised when a new toon with 'marzi-school' appeared. I was shocked when it involved Strong Bad. Actually, no. More than shocked. Disappointed. The visitor should have been Bubs! He has a career! Not enough Homsar, Homestar and Strong Mad either. Not that great. 2/5 |

I kept cracking up during the film, but I think it was because Strong Bad's face was scaring the jibblies out of me, and it was either laugh or cower in fear. Those eyes, the mouth, that... butt chin!  I did like the cosmic rays bouncing off of Space Captainface's butt though. 'Twas pretty silly. |

 Is TBC running out of ideas? I'm sorry but I think they're loosing their touch. Seriously, the only time I laughed was at the end when Homestar asked Strong Bad if he went "bafroom" in his suit, will he blow up. But seriously, there was some high points I guess. Though the animation in the film almost gave me a stroke. I'll have to watch it a few times before I can actually rate this... |

Though the acutal film didn't impress me much, the ending made me laugh. I guess i'm still immature enough to enjoy some well-placed potty humor. |

I really liked it ... albeit I'm factoring in the new animation style and not just the storyline. I like the touches of more fluid motion, with a couple slight "Powered by The Cheat" style flourishes like the smoke when the rocket takes off. Story itself wasn't fantastic, but it was intersting seeing Homsar in a non-egg appearance in which he's actually interacting with the characters for once. As much as I miss having a good old sbemail to watch, I'm enjoying this break-from-the-norm for TBC. I think they realized they were relying too heavily on sbemail to drive the site and now they're working to make a more well-rounded rotation of cartoons. |

It was pretty good. The main thing it had going for it was the new art style. Which I looooooveeeeeed. I wouldn't mind seeing a series of SCF toons in this style. |

Meh, it wasn't that great. A lot of the jokes were kind of crude. I did like the joke at the end, though. The art style almost saved it for me. Space Captainface kinda looks like Buzz Lightyear. /

Likely the latter. Humor's pretty hard to get it right. I'm giving it a 1/5 though. I didn't like it. That much. The only really funny part was: "What is a Space Captainface? And what does it do? Um...let me get back to you on that." |

The part in the wiki that claims this is the first time Homestar laughs is incorrect. I know for sure he laughs in A Jorb Well Done, & he may elsewhere also. I tried to change it but somebody immediately changed it back. *edit* or at least I thought they did. Perhaps they immediately edited it back back upon reading this... |
