I thought this toon was pretty good, but I was unsatisfied when the kickball game had nothing to do with the sbemail hremail conflict. The next one better either be a sbemail or have something to do with sbemails coming back, or I'm stumped.

Better than last week's toon? Yes, it was. By the way, I claim this awesome new animation in the name of my avatar.

Feels old-school, which is a good thing. Best toon so far, though I'm STILL waiting for a new sbemail.

It has the feel of a "classic" Homestar toon, with several great moments throughout. The draft bit was pure genius.

That was AWESOME! It was funny, plus the return of the umpire from the classic children's books made it all the more interesting! And of course, Onion Bubs was there.

I also found it funny that Homestar's team consisted of Pom Pom and Strong Sad; it's like the typical characters he hangs out with.

Also, I noticed that the music is a remix of the music from Weclome Back.

the rules for the game threw me off a little, but it was funny overall. i actually liked that they introduced a new character(or brought back and old one, whatever you want to call it). I think they need to do more of it.

Also, i was a little thrown off as this was the first cartoon to actually make a swear, albeit was in the easter egg, so it wasn't as bad

What, because the umpire said "God"? First of all, that's not a swear, especially the way he used it, and secondly the word God has been used on the website many times before.

Or maybe you just thought they said something else.

Notable firsts: Strong Mad saying, "WHAT THE CRAP?!", and Coach Z's furious look. Pom Pom's cocked eyebrow wouldn't count, would it? But now we're seeing some thoughtful character expressions. So the toon overall gets 5/5.

"Honest to God"
last time i checked that IS swearing.

And what cartoons have they said God before? they've mentioned a stink of Biblical proportions, and "Scripture" but this is the first time i thought God was said

THE GRAPE FAIRIE: Honest to God, Mookie Wilson gave me the golbol to my aunt in 1974.
STRONG BAD AS GENE: TGIG y'all. Thank God I'm Gene.
I think there are a couple more, but I forget where.

Best thing of 2009 yet, and possibly the best Big Toon overall. Absolutly brilliant.

And, arguably, Strong Bad's favorate word is a swear- It is in the UK, anyway.

Well, this was certaintly better than last weeks toon, which for some reason I thought was good. Now that looks like a pile o' cat mess. I also loved it because it's what you want from a Homestar Runner cartoon; com-pe-ti-tion!
The best lines in this was "Ooh! Yes! Pom Pom, you have been and always will be my dog, but today, I gotta play the strategy card. I'm goin' with Pom Pom." That really did make me laugh. I also loved a long awaited Sonic reference. And the Umpire is finally in a toon! Where's he bin at all these years?
Overall? Five, outta five, baby.

Loved it, loved it, loved it! I love the part at the end where they're like "Good game. Good game. Good game..." "Yeah, right. Yeah, right. Yeah,right..." That was adorable! And so true. The winner never means it.

I think I can honestly say that this is my favorite big toon ever. 5/5 for lack of a higher rating!

I can honestly say they seriously kicked one over the fence this time. I simply cannot express how impressive this cartoon is! The good jokes just kept on coming and wouldn't stop. I haven't seen stuff this funny on the site since "what i want" or maybe even "keep cool."

I want a coin with Sonic and Tails on it now. And I'm not even a fan of the games.

I was laughing non-stop the whole time
I can't believe that they brought back the Umpire, and was surprised to see a possible 'isle of pom' when :sm:'s kick went around the world.
I think that they should have incorporated Homsar, though :homsar:

I'm reducing it to 4/5. Homestar seemed too clueless. It should've only been done once, and then they divided up equally. It could've worked that way, even with the montage.

Classic Homestar Runner style: Strong Bad attempts to cheat in a sports competition only to have it backfire. Definitely got me laughing! I thought the writing was particularly strong during the "draft" scene.

:sm: "WHAT THE CRAP!?"

:marzi: This keeps teetering between 4/5 and 5/5.

I reserve my 5s for the ones that almost make me collapse. Don't you see? 5 is the HIGHEST POSSIBLE SCORE. Yes, this toon was probably the best thing they've done so far this year, but by giving a 5, you are implying that NO BETTER IS POSSIBLE.

Or, you just liked the toon a lot. Either way. :)

Well, there is always rounding.

I live in the UK, and I've only ever met one person who considers "crap" a swear. There are plenty of words - God, damn, crap, etc. - that are considered swear in America but not so much in the UK. Of course, it also works the opposite way - the "w-word" (I'm not even typing it) is worse than the f-word in the UK, but barely an insult in America.

"God" is only a swear when abused. I think "honest to God" is an acceptable use.

That was great. Well worth the wait. Now that I see how long it was, and how much effort they put into it, I'm no longer upset by my two days of sitting here going "Come... OOONNN TBC! Get with it!" Now I see they not only were getting with it, they GOT with it, and then the PASSED it, and then they finally left it in the dust. Poor it. TBC are jerks.

what? Oh, yeah, 5/5, good toon, good job TBC. Cool to see them going back and using some of their old characters.

Pretty good, though I gotta admit I'm tired of the "Homestar inexplicably steals Strong Bad's victory after about 2,000 last-minute dumb luck plot twists" gag. Just let Strong Bad win for once instead of going OH WAIT NO HE DOESN'T every single time. Not like he hasn't earned it.

I wasn't quite sure of what Homestar said when he called the coin, but I thought it said "Sonic" (but I just thought that it was my obsession talking).

When I read on the wiki that he really did say Sonic, I about cried.

GO SONIC!

Onion Bubs!

This was funny and TOTALLY unexpected. And I kind of have a hint why they're doing so many Big Toons all of a sudden. It's maybe because they want to release "Everything Else Vol. 4" and are working to try and make this DVD have more stuff on it than "E.E. Vol. 2" and they need some Big Toons for it.

I just loved the part where Homestar calls "Sonic! I mean- Tails." And who woulda thought that The Umpire would ever return?

5/5. Onion Bubs' cameo was hilarious, as well as Tim Tom. Homestar's "team" action was great too.
