I know it's not the length, I mean Commandos in the Classroom is longer than some of the Big Toons. What's the difference?

The Brothers Chaps choose, really. Maybe the ones they put the most effort into count as Big, even if they're not big in length.

The ones that are (as you can tell) worked really hard on.

The way I've heard it on the wiki, is it's not what denotes a big toon, it's what denotes a short. A short is typically more of a little "slice of life" type toon, whereas the big toons try to tell a particular story from point A to point B.

So, then Career Day was sort of a short?

Yeah, I kind of think Career Day is miscategorized, personally. I was talking with Dot com about it on IRC, and he said the same. It seems more like a short than a Big Toon to me.

I wonder if the only reason it was a Big Toon was because TBC realized how long it's been since they last did one.

I think the length of a toon should be a factor, especially if it's above four minutes in length. I know you said it's not, but it should be.

Plus, some "shorts" may also tell a story from point A to point B, just like the big toons, such as "Looking At a Thing In a Bag", "No Hands On Deck" and "The Homestar Runner Gets Something Stuck In His Craw".

I always thought it was "big toons have a title card, shorts don't", but now they've been making exceptions to that so...

You make a good point, Captain. But what's a title card?

A title card is the thing that says what the toon is called. Here's an example:

Unfortunately, this example is from a short.

Except most toons have abandoned credits. Only the Halloween toons still carry credits, and even they don't really mention the names of the people working on them anymore like they used to.

That's probably because most of their fans already know who's responsible for what. Then again, newcomers will have to watch the earliest before watching the latest.

I doubt newcomers care to know who's involved.

Wouldn't newcomers be the most curious? It seems pretty difficult to learn anything about Mike and Matt from the website. I'm not sure if their full names are even on there. I'd be very curious if I hadn't found the wiki so early on.

Of course their full names are on there! They're at least in SBCG4AP from what I can remember, that's how I got into H*R. SBCG4AP I mean.
