I had no sound...so I was very cofused. And yet, I still ended up laughing.

From what I can tel, when I get home tomorrow, I shall have to watch it.

It seems the shorter ones seem to fair better, although this is a fairly long short, if you get my drift. Rather hard to understand alot of the time, I'll watch it again, but pretty funny, certainly. Bubs' entry...brilliant.
Does Homestar sing the Inspector Gadget theme?...

You have to give points to a Bubs with a Red Face, I haven't seen him so angry since "Original Bubs", even then he wasn't that angry.

However I had to take points away with the KOT just kinda poof with the smoke out of no where, I though that was kinda lame, They could have just put him in threw a close up of Bubs or Homestar and have him walk into the frame.

This is a complex victory of slow-melting greatness. I don't even know where to start describing anything, only to know that this entire cartoon is so much greater as a whole.

I just know that this feels like those old kids' cartoons you watch as a kid. Innocent and timeless, yet still hilarious.

I didn't like Strong Bad at the end, but besides that, I thought it was brilliant- Homestar and Marzi's conversation at the beginning was the highlight.

*poof* It was pretty good, I liked Bubs in this. In fact, the only thing keeping me from giving this a 5/5 was Strong Bad. Go figure.

(Side note, I was thinking not too long ago they should reuse that music during the deck-building scene in No Hands on Deck!.) *poof*

I don't know why everyone didn't like Strong Bad in this short, I thought it was funny and back to his roots (sorta.)
so, yeah, This was a good 'toon, only a little less cool than sbemailiarized.

Loved it! The best part was when Bubs first walked up to Homestar's Doughnut stand. :bubs:

I agree with the general dislike of Strong Bad. Strong Sad or Coach Z (lol) would have been a much better Health Inspector. Other than that, this toon was pretty good. I really liked both Bubs and KOT in this; I loved how he just popped in out of nowhere, and I actually didn't expect him. Overall, it gets a 3/5

After typing this, I just realised that Homestar humming the Inspector Gadget theme is probably referring to the fact that Strong Bad is the health inspector. Or maybe not.

Strong Bad's assault on Homestar= Very Awesome
Complete and utter randomness? = VERY YES

Classic h*r formula: Homestar means well, but his spontaneity ends up inconveniencing everyone around him, leading to hilarious dialogues and interactions, which are then brought to a painful end by Strong Bad.

BAD PARTS

Strong Bad- just being his usual, boring self
King of Town- it would've been nice had the contest actually happened
Marzipan- only in the first scene?
Too few characters- only 5?

The Brothers Chaps seem to have come into their own once again! Their toons this year have been spot-on, and "Donut unto Others" is no exception. Seeing Bubs fuming mad, and with a bloody red face, was priceless, and Strong Bad's role as the health inspector was classic. Marzipan's anniversary comment was solid golid, too. My only complaint is that Strong Bad's knocking over Homestar's donut stand didn't have the comedic punch it should've.

This is one of the toons where you can tell The Brothers Chaps are using a different style of comedy than they used to. Well, I like it. I guess Homestar does realize he has a speech impediment. 4/5, because I'm starting to think 5/5 should only be used for the very best toons.

5/5, partly because I'm a donut frier, myself. We don't quite have 57 varieties, though. More like 17, plus the occasional special donut.

Not sure when our "donut rush" is. We're open before the sun comes up, though. Our donuts are homemade, though the dough for the danishes and apricot sticks are not (incidentally, they also happen to be the only donuts that are not fried).

I was expecting Homestar to surprise Strong Bad by having a really clean place at the end. So it was a surprise for me when SB failed him before the inspection could even proceed.

Also, I'm really tired of seeing "Strong Bad smiled" in the Inside References of these wiki pages. He's smiled in almost every toon appearance since Sbemail 200. It's not a rare thing, anymore.

I know it from an old video game. It's an old console game, a platformer, I think, although I don't remember which one. Does anybody know?

I don't know if it goes farther back than that.

I'm pretty sure that the tune that Bubs was humming at the end goes back waaaaaaay further than some video game. I'm not having any luck coming up with an actual origin or name, but we're looking at the piano accompaniment to silent movies, if not even older than that. I can definitely cite an appearance of it on a record from 1974, where it was a corny reference to the music from old Westerns.

Yeah, I'm totally seeing some black and white movie/show and that music plays when the villain shows up.... but WHAT IS IT FROM?!?

It started driving me crazy as soon as I saw the toon.
