Aw, this was so cute. I immediately got this wide grin on my face when I saw that Homestar and Strong Sad were randomly hanging out. And then the whole "The LEG" thing was awesome. I also thought of "the ledge" like Strong Sad, too, since, you know, Strong Bad WAS standing near the ledge of a chair. I thought he was going to jump off of it, and it would be epic.

But no.

Nevertheless, I just loved it. It made me happy and I'm still smiling from watching it.

5/5

I like character developement, but I also like satire....so 3/5

Didn't capture the same hilariously surreal feel that "morning routine" did.

so is there another more than 79 second cartoon on the way or is it a break week today?

everyone needs break weeks... even if you uhh... 'might' be working on something big.

but anyway the cow leg thing was so absurd, it made me smile.

and i'm definitely trying that knee water thing...

It made me smile, but only for a little. It didn't suck though, and I liked the leg jokes. It might have gotten a better score from me it it wasn't so short. 3/5

Eh, so-so. I think what's dividing people on the short is that it feels so natural. Relative to most of the stuff on the site, it doesn't feel like an act put on for the viewer's entertainment. It's not a "show". It seems like backstage, real-life antics. So it feels closer to the characters, but not like the usual humor. Kind of like the answering machines, though those have their own "scripted" feel, because the characters are usually leaving each other deliberately weird messages.

the second time I watched this, I laughed every 5 seconds! It was short, but along with the 15% off sale and SBCG4AP store stuff keeping them busy, this was hilariously random! Although, I was expecting a little more, but since it made me laugh so much...

5/5!

Well, Homestar was right to point out that it was as if tape-leg had a baby...

edit: I did laugh at the easter egg though so it's not all bad. :p

It was random but funny. I liked how they just took 79 seconds and put something really weird in it

This was weird. So random. Some parts were funny, like Homestar calling Strong Bad "The Ledge from Now On". But I didn't like when Strong Bad corrected Homestar after he said it. It kinda ruined the joke for me. I also liked the conversation between Homestar and Strong Sad. However this whole toon seemed to be thought up and put together pretty quickly, and it will never be one of my favorites.

:sb: :sb: :sb: / :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb: :sb:

EDIT: I watched it again, and it was a lot funnier the second time. Maybe I should bump my vote up.

I cracked up laughing at the whole "cow leg thing".

It was just surreal enough to save itself from a 1. 2'd!

EDIT: I admit I did laugh at Homestar's repeated, angrier, "short for leg?"

The first time I watched this one, I laughed so hard and so long after "Oh, Strong Bad! It's like my cow lamp and your tape leg had a baby in my brain and just came out my mouth!" that I missed several seconds. Not only is that line funny in and of itself, but Homestar's unprecedented giddiness saying it was pure comic gold.

Anyway, I had to watch it again immediately -- and it all got even funnier! And then the composition book Easter egg made it even funnier still. All in all, this one has provided far in excess of 79 seconds of hilarity. I rate it a 5 out of 5.

To everyone who's complained that this cartoon was too random: Umm, hello? Have you actually watched any of the other 'toons? So much of what's on the site is randomness and absurdity. I thought that was kind of the point.

3/5... if only for the "Cow Leg" bit. Everything else fell flat due to an excess of surrealism. (Wow,I sound smart!)

Well, it was short, but what do you expect from something called "79 Second Left"? It was a bit random, but legs saved it. 3/5, maybe?

Excess of surrealism? Were you accidentally watching Sweet Cuppin' Cakes? The characters may have been slightly strange (like enjoying pouring water on their knees), but that's about it.

In fact, the only part you liked was the only part I didn't like - the only real inside reference. (Strong Bad Smiling? Daddy? The? C'mon, Wiki.)

I'm just waiting for TBC to make a toon all about and repeating over and over those "inside references" just to see if the Wiki explodes from Not-Really-Inside Reference Overload. I'm also tempted to go into every Wiki page that mentions Strong Bad smiling and delete each and every such reference. Why do you people keep adding that?

It's one of those mysteries of the universe that may never be solved. (?) I myself made a userbox for those who don't understand it and hope to make a collage of movie villains smiling to prove it's not an unusual thing for an antagonist to do.

Mind if I take a copy of that userbox? Honestly, having that article is like having an article on everytime the KOT has been seen in his Castle. :-|

No, I don't mind. I made it especially for sharing.

I must ask an admin, would it be inappropriate for me to add it to the "Fun Userboxes" thing?

Is that a new sky texture? I thought it was usually solid blue with solid puffy clouds. I dunno maybe they've been doing it this way for a while & I just haven't noticed or something. Anyway, looks good.

I think it's been used before. I think they've been playing with a variety of skies since, like, No Hands on Deck! and Drive-Thru.
