I certainly would have appreciated a better ending like the one in the book with more characters in the end. They could have at least included it in an Easter Egg. Another thing, I noticed that when the umpire said that Homestar performed an illegal run, Homestar was still happy, but when he told Homestar he was suspended, he frowned.
I also found some of the animation lacking (the fridge scene and Homestar's "walking home" scene"), but a few parts were nice to look at (The auto scene and the teleset).
However, I did like the scripting and the inclusion of other characters into the toon.

I'm still waiting for a fresh toon, not a filler or something we've seen before. I'd rather not like other cartoons or books to be modernized as much as I'd like a new Strong Bad Email or other new toon. This is one of the toons you either like or don't like.

3/5

What exactly dose "Pedestrian" mean as a describing term?

Ordinary. Unspectacular.

Well.. another week with another Not Strongbad Email

Though this one was pretty good, I am just a teeny tiny bit dissappointed

but not enough to stop me from giving this a 5/5.

Well Done TBC, you remade an old classic Image

That was fantastic! I loved all the weird logic they use ("I already looked in [my hat]," and "I must have put it there when I put my hat in the fridge," for example), as well as poking fun of the old book and its British/fake British word choices. Bangers and mash! Marzipan getting launched was also great. Almost every scene had something to love.

I voted a 4, but upon further thought, I think this deserves a very rare 5/5 from me. Congrats, TBC!

I thought it was great! I also loved how it made fun of all the "plot goofs" of the book...

Fantastic, simply fantastic. Loved how they poked fun at the nonsensical plot of the original book, and Coach Z was hilarious as always. 4/5

Naw, just bloodshot. As for why someone's eyes would be bloodshot from being underwater too long, I don't know.

He was drowning... Strong Bad threw him in the pool in a block of concrete and Homestar saved him.

Yeah, that's probably what TBC intended, but it looks more like Strong Sad has been punched in the eyes and has a bunch of bloody cuts on his eyelids. Nasty.

By the way, after watching the cartoon another time, I've started to like it a bit more. Mostly because of the line, "I must've left it in there when I put my hat in the fridge!" So it's been upgraded from a 3 to a 3.5. Which is still a 3 on the poll.

Post subject:  Re: Where my hat is at!

Wasn't horrible, but not one of the better ones by any stretch of the imagination. Didn't work as well as the Strongest Man in the World toon did.

I think I would have preferred more fluidity to the toon. I understand they were being faithful to the original, which was just a series of Homestar checking out places for his hat - but The Strongest Man in the World managed to be faithful while also making it seem like a real cartoon that was enjoyable even if you didn't know the original. The cutting to Homestar saying "Where My Hat Is At?" got old quickly, as was the constant making fun of every place he checked "Maybe it's in the grill. 'Cause it totally makes sense for it to be in the grill." "Maybe it's in the auto that I've always had and am always calling an auto." We get it. You checked weird places and used British terms.

The first scene with Marzipan was by far the best. Both because of the whole Homestar forcing her to word it "Where My Hat Is At?'" and the launching of Marzipan which everyone else loved too.

Almost exactly the same, only better! Start and end were the highlights. And also Homestar claiming to have already looked inside his hat to find his hat, the lulz. :)
"Man, Mr. Umpire, you sure have a funny way of pronouncing 'Homestar Runner's Team Wins!'"
I assume this was why the Umpire was created before...

Wow. This is easily one of the best toons that TBC has done for quite a while! As soon as Marzipan got flung from the couch, I was laughing nearly the entire time! Excellent toon with a very large quantity of epic quotes.

Just because it isn't a sbemail doesn't make it a bad cartoon. I highly disagree with all the comments you stated, and I find the "not a sbemail" complaint just ridiculous. Not a sbemail is good, for me anyway.

Haha, totally seconding this. Though I reckon the original Strongest Man In The World book did have a coherent spacial progression of sorts; Where My Hat Is At doesn't translate to animation as well because it jumps around all over the place. It's like now it's in toon form it broke the location:action ratio.

Anybody else find Homestar's liberally applied "WHERE MY HAT IS AT." hilarious? Seriously that thing had some massive lack of context going on, every time it appeared I was just like pffffffft. And his mouth, OH MY GOD they made it that triangle-shape which is pretty much the best thing ever.

If you ask me I think the ending was a little stretched, a bit of the explaining-joke syndrome going on, but that's not too much of a big deal for me. :)

"Umm... Coach Z, are you implying that my hat is inside my hat".
"No, Homest-"
"Good because I already checked and its not there"
Priceless.

I was honestly hoping for SBEmail 203. But I guess we will have to wait.

4/5

Yes. Yes. YES!
I was waiting for TBC to make this! X3 I love how they ade Homestar's mouth all triangular is whenever he said "Where my hat is at?" like in the book.

Random quote time: "Or under this auto that I always all the time drive around. And call an auto."

Here my rating is at: 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/5

Thanks much, TBC. :D

Am I allowed to shoot the people that are complaining that this isn't a Sbemail? Come on, people, Sbemail is just a feature, not the main site!

On a lighter note, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the possibility that Marzipan wears a wig, yet.

It's not too much of a surprise considering she tends to dress up as men for Halloween, but most hippies probably grow out their hair, instead of going with a wig.

Well, she did mention in "haircuts" that her hair is a weave...

...although I have no idea what a weave is so this could be totally unrelated.

Naturally. And I'm free to say a particular toon sucks, which this one does. I don't often rip one of these, but this one was rippable. It was also sbemailerized entertainment from like 10 years ago.
