Hey, a new toon! No idea what the name is, but it was fun!

4/5. I kinda wish Homsar had been in the Easter Egg, but at least Pom Pom and The Announcer quenched my "characters who should appear more than they do" thirst.

It wasn't hilarious,but it wasn't bad. I'd give it a 4/5

Well, when I went up there the last time, it wasn't. Which, admittedly, was some time ago. But seriously, how do you get to see these things before TBC notify us through official means?

I thought this was excellent! It reminded me of some of the stuff from the "no-more-sbemails" era - things like Donut Unto Others and Best Caper Ever. The premise was great, and I laughed consistently, especially during Homestar's adorably enthusiastic song.

5/5. ^_^

I just randomly checked the site at 10:00 PM because I thought maybe since they didn't update last week, they'd do it early this week.

And it was worth it. That was Hi-Lar-I-Ous! 5/5, 100%, -0, A+, and all that jazz!

I thought it was pretty good 3/5.

The choices on this poll need to be more clear.

It would have been a four, but Coach Z was so hilarious I had to give it a five.

Oh god, that was great! A parody of mascots!

FAVORITE PARTS

1. What isn't that smell?
2. Freshmen orientation song (I'm a university student)
3. Coach Z handling kids
4. The mascot romp around the field
5. Pom Pom

Woo Coach Z has somehow got even creepier. Again. Generally this a very funny toon, particularly Benny Hill, Pom Pom and 'smoking'.

oh geez LOL that ending.

doodoo doot doo doodoodoodoo doot-doo doo doodoodoo doot doo doodoodoodoodooh.

The Matt/Mike dialogue after the music plus the retarded-awesome humour seems to imply to me that TBC didn't bother to put much effort into professionalism! Which is all good in my books. I love nonprofessionalism.

5/5, namely cause this summer, I too had to sweat inside a nasty old mascot costume. Loved how Coach Z handled kids, wish I could've done that. xD

Post subject:  Re: On Break

The funny thing is, there are a lot of us in the furry fandom that actually WANT to be in a mascot costume, and pay out the wazoo to own one personally. Myself, included. :P

:hr: "Best $825 he ever spent!"
(And that's one of the cheaper ones.)

However, to be one as part of a job, probably not quite as enjoyable. Unless it's professional, like Major League Baseball. I think you have to have, like, a degree in mascotery just to have a job like that.

Anyway, this toon was great. Didn't realize that the H*R universe had aquired so many mascot costumes. Is a bit of a shame that Homsar wasn't there in the dreamster egg, but I think he would've taken away from the gag, so it's okay.

Post subject:  Re: On Break

Not bad. Not as good as independant was, but not bad. The ending seemed a little odd with them wandering around the field, but the BurgerTime easter egg made up for it. I'll give it a 3/5.

:hr: singing once again made my day! So that's what Homestar does after being suspended from the league. ;)
The whole thing was quite nice though I would have loved an additional cameo of :sm:'s Bubs' Concession Stand "costume" from Fall Float Parade.

4/5

A perfect toon in more than one way. I agree that Strong Mad's "costume" should have appeared, though.

It's not the best short of the year, but it's still the best toon of the month! Since I'm going to college in Milwaukee this week, I can relate to at least two scenes!

Awesome!!!! I loved the college jokes, too... I can really relate to them because I just started college this semester.

5/5

Post subject:  Re: On Break

The ending was not that good, but the rest of the short (along with the easter egg) more than made up for it.

:hr: :hr: :hr: :hr: / :hr: :hr: :hr: :hr: :hr:

UPDATE: Listened closer to the ending, better than originally though, though I'm keeping the score as it is.

Post subject:  Re: On Break

I didn't laugh out loud (except at "kimchi" for some reason), but I enjoyed it. Homestar was in it, Strong Bad embarassed himself, & I can finally confirm to myself that SB & HS are young adults instead of teens (I always believed it, I just wanted to HEAR it).

Post subject:  Re: On Break

The humor didn't fall flat, but nothing particularly stood out. Except Yakkity Sax. That was awesome and unexpected. And I liked seeing Pom Pom again.

I give it a 3 out of 5.
