I've been thinking about what everyone's top two favorite Big Toons are on this website (from 2000 to 2004)? That's what this poll here is all about. What are your favorites here? As for the Big Toons of 2005 onward, those will be put up later. Just so you know, one of my all-time favorites here (one that I'm sure everyone else likes a lot, too) is "A Jorb Well Done". |

I'm disinclined to think we really need two separate threads on favourite big toons or four on shorts. I know there's no way to make a poll for all the big toons or shorts on the site. That's exactly why a poll is not suitable to this topic in the first place; there's just too many options. As it is, we're making arbitrary groupings of toons based on year of release (which has nothing to do with what sort of toon it is). If you want to talk about favourite toons or shorts, we should make just one thread and just discuss it with no polling. (As a side note, do we already have threads about favourite big toons and shorts? I'd be surprised if we didn't, but my search-fu is yielding no results.) |

I would think that just discussing favorite toons/shorts would not be adequate enough. They tend to sort of get "lost" in the threads, and it becomes quite a chore to have to root through the threads to find the posts. Polls help to keep track of things more closely. I do know only too well that similar threads exist on the website, but as new toons keep being released, the old threads quickly become obsolete. Actually, there is a real reason why I'm trying to gather favorites and doing so fairly. Having seen the DVD called "Sbemails' 50 Greatest Hits" (I haven't actually seen it, just read about it on the wiki), I figured that they should do a similar kind of DVD on Everything Else (after EE4 gets released, of course). Here is a thread on the subject, made by yours truly: http://forum.hrwiki.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=15825. Obviously, I can't load all of the contents of the four volumes into one disc. But how could I figure out which toons should make the cut for this special DVD? After mulling over some of the possibilities, I finally decided to conduct surveys for all of the favorite toons of the forum here. I can't really think of any other way to do it. Do you know of a way? |

After a chat with Dot com about this, we've (well, mostly he has) decided to experimentally change the poll restrictions to allow more than fifteen options. So now we can have one poll about all the Big Toons. We can make a similar one for shorts, too. Note to all: Please don't abuse this. Keep polls having as few options as reasonably possible (always just five for toon ratings). If we get too many unwieldy polls, we'll revert back to the old limits. |

How many poll options are available now? EDIT: Never mind, it's a whopping 75! Still, I agree with you on it may be more than enough! |
